Our Story…
Mybeerbuzz.com was launched in April 2008 as an April Fool’s Day dare from my wife. I initially launched the site as a mechanism to collect and disseminate the draft and bottle lists for our local craft beer bars, breweries and bottle shops in Northeastern PA, however it quickly became obvious that the real purpose was to serve as an outlet for my love of all things beer.
As we crossed our first 1-million page views, I realized that not only did we have a considerable number of daily readers, but also that those readers wanted more than just tap lists. From there it seemed that our Mission Statement practically wrote itself, “Bringing Good Beers and Good People Together” and the journey was underway.
May 2010, I teamed up with John Webster and Nancy Kman from WILK News Radio to launch the WILK Friday BeerBuzz live craft beer radio show. As we cross over our 700th show, we continue to be the only live weekly craft beer terrestrial-radio show in Northeastern PA (as well as much of the US). Over the years we have garnered many PA Association of Broadcasters and PA Associated Press awards and hosted many brewing industry icons on the air.

Mybeerbuzz.com continues to push the boundaries of beer news sites and we remain one of the only sites to scour multiple sources to bring you your first peek at exciting new beers, new seltzers, new ciders, new spirits, product reviews and new packaging.
I’m also proud to say that despite the “About Us” above, everything you see and read on mybeerbuzz.com is the result of one person (me). From the site graphics to web design and content, I’m a one-man-band…and I remain proud at what mybeerbuzz.com has become.
Think of us as the small craft-brewer of craft beer news.
In 2025, mybeerbuzz.com undertook a major migration from a free google blogger-hosted site, to a fully hosted site that lives natively at mybeerbuzz.com. After over 17 years and 75,000 posts, I had taken the free site as far as I was able to take it, and our SEO was suffering. It was time to make the change.

Who We Are…
The photo above shows our entire team on vacation. Once again, the “Who We Are” is a bit misleading since I’m a one-man band at mybeerbuzz.com with way too many instruments to play. My interest in better beer came about because of the travels of my wife and family and my discovery of international and U.S. west coast beers…so maybe I had a little help.
I remember enjoying a beer called Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar with my wife and I distinctly remember saying how different this beer was from everything I had called “beer” in the past. That led to my love of all things craft beer and I even designed the full packaging for a custom printed bottle of Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar for our wedding.
I started mybeerbuzz.com on a dare, and every day I’m blessed to be able to engage thousands of beer lovers on-line and a few in person too….so come join us.
What We Do…
On a daily basis, I scour multiple sources to seek out new beer labels yet to hit the market. From there we research each beer, reach out to the breweries involved for comments or details, and publish the interesting labels. This process alone includes roughly 400 labels each day to review. From there I process through multiple sources for press releases, updates on the release details of previously published beer labels and any new beer news from alternate sources. I currently cover craft beer, big beer, ciders, seltzers, flavored malt beverages, spirits and much more. I have also provided departments/categories/tags on the site to allow you to view regional news, state-by-state coverage, specific brewery coverage, Northeastern Pennsylvania coverage, collaboration coverage, press releases and much, much more. I also continue to provide a beer news segment for our live weekly craft beer radio show, the WILK Friday BeerBuzz.
If that’s not enough fun, I also review everything from beer to food, electronics, personal care, outdoor and hiking equipment, photography equipment, clothing, shoes, candy, baked goods and more. I write about everything in a positive manner and I’m always excited to test-drive and promote your new offerings.
