Company history
Founding (1935): Heaven Hill was founded by the five Shapira brothers and a group of investors. They started “Old Heavenhill Springs” distillery with a focus on producing bourbon.

Distillery fire (1996): The originalBardstown distillery
was destroyed by a catastrophic fire. Despite this major setback, the family-run company persevered, acquiring other distilleries and continuing production.

Expansion: In 1999, Heaven Hill acquired theBernheim Distillery
