New Mexico’s Bosque Brewing Announces Permanent Closure Of All Locations
Today, I have some more closure news, and this notice is coming from Bosque Brewing in New Mexico:
With heavy hearts, we are closing all Bosque branded Public Houses. Nob Hill will close today at 5pm and the rest of the taprooms will close on Sunday, December 28th at 5pm.
Restoration Pizza and Smothered Brunch are owned and operated by unrelated entities and will continue normal operations and remain open and serve our communities. These brands are not impacted by the closure of Bosque Public Houses. For more information please follow our friends @restorationpizza and @smotheredbrunch.
Bosque has been built on community, and we are forever grateful to everyone who supported our taprooms, shared a pint with us, and made our spaces feel like home. Most of all, thank you to our incredible team, past and present. We’re really going to miss seeing your faces in our taprooms. That part hurts.
The good news: Bosque beer isn’t going anywhere. Bosque beers will continue to be brewed here in Albuquerque by Marble Brewery. Even better, some of our longtime brewery crew is already there helping carry the vision forward.
Thanks for all the support you’ve given us, then and now. This isn’t goodbye.
Please give us some time to answer all of your questions. Our focus right now is on ensuring as smooth a transition as possible for our staff impacted by the closures.
About Bosque Brewing:
Bosque Brewing Company, a New Mexico-based brewery known for beers like Riverwalker IPA and Salt Money Lager, recently closed all its taprooms and restaurants (including Restoration Pizza) in late December 2025 after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and having the case dismissed due to overwhelming debt. While the physical locations are closed, the beer production continues via Marble Brewery in Albuquerque, with efforts to transition staff and keep some brands alive, though the future of the original company is uncertain, potentially heading toward liquidation.
Key Points:
Closure of Locations: All Bosque-branded taprooms and related restaurants (like Restoration Pizza) closed their doors in late December 2025.
Bankruptcy & Dismissal: The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in October 2025 to reorganize but the case was dismissed in December 2025, leading to the shutdowns.
Brewing Continues (Sort Of): Bosque beer will still be brewed in Albuquerque by Marble Brewery, with some former Bosque crew members helping.
Popular Beers: Known for brews like Riverwalker IPA, Salt Money Lager, Elephants on Parade Wheat Ale, and Scotia Scotch Ale.
Other Brands Unaffected (Initially): Restoration Pizza and Smothered Brunch were initially stated to be separate, but also faced closures.
Retail Presence: Cans of Bosque beer were sold in New Mexico and West Texas at stores like Kroger and Total Wine & More.
History:
Founded in 2012 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and grew to include multiple locations across the state.
Current Situation (as of late 2025/early 2026):
The primary public-facing business has ceased operations at its taprooms.
The focus shifted from expansion to managing the financial fallout and preserving the brand’s beer production through a partnership with Marble Brewery.
