It’s time once again for our Special Projects ninjas to unleash their newest portfolio of rare and unimaginably delicious adult beverages, and we are extremely psyched about this month’s lineup. New iterations of beloved classics, majestic haze-beasts, outrageously crushable lagers, luxurious dessert stouts, and marvels of soul-satisfying funk are all on offer this weekend in April’s online sale. Oh, and we’ve got a limited bag of really exceptional single-origin Myanmar coffee in the lineup this time around, which we can’t recommend highly enough. If you’re looking to kick off the spring season in consummate style, this is a pretty solid option.

STENCIL CREW
The second edition of this beloved 8.5% hazy DIPA is loaded with staggering quantities of Simcoe, Citra, and Amarillo hops for an outrageously juicy profile replete with tropical fruit, citrus, and liquid goodwill.

BROKEN SHADOWS
This haze-shrouded miracle was brewed with flaked rye & rye malt, which combine with a profusion of Strata, Crystal, Chinook, and Galaxy hops to yield a profile replete with orange citrus & strawberry, with a hint of spice from the rye and a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. It’s a singlularly tasty beverage that’s as unique as it is crushable.

DOUBLE DRY-HOPPED MT5! DIPA
Originally brewed honor of our 5th year in existence, we significantly upped the ante for this hazy DIPA by double dry-hopping the hell out of it with Nelson and Motueka hops, which combine with an oat-centric malt bill to create an outrageously fruity, tropical juice-fest with a beautifully soft, pillowy mouthfeel.

MONSTERS’ PARK AGED IN BOURBON BARRELS: MEXICAN HOT CHOCOLATE EDITION

We loaded this massively flavorful, barrel-aged imperial stout with cinnamon, cocoa nibs, chilis, and vanilla, yielding a Mexican hot chocolate party of staggeringly delicious proportions. Brace your taste-buds for an onslaught of delicious complexity.

MODERN EDEN
We put our heads together with the distinguished beer-sorcerers at Yeast of Eden and came up with a seriously lovely funky saison. Starting with a base of Oregon-grown Mecca Grade pilsner and wheat malts, we hopped in the whirlpool with Mosaic, Hallertau Blanc, and Saaz before fermentation with mixed house cultures from both breweries. We aged this magnificent combo in white wine barrels and capped the whole thing off with a generous addition of pineapples, yielding marvel of bright, tropical funk that reveals itself more with each magical sip.
ABV: 7.3%

SUN MYTH
This unbelievably delightful sour blond was fermented with house cultures and aged in red & white wine barrels prior to blending and subsequent racking onto a bed of fresh, ripe peaches and peach puree. What emerged from this fateful convergence of wood, stone fruit, and microflora is a tart, complex beverage of boss-level proportions, with deep, developed funkiness underneath bright peach flesh and lively carbonation. Honestly, it would be straight-up weird if you didn’t enjoy the hell out of it.

MYANMAR SHAN STATE COFFEE BEANS
**The pickup deadline for these will be 14 days from the first day of pickups.
This bag of caffeinated flavor-sorcery arrives to us care of the Mandalay Coffee Group, a pretty dope company at the forefront of Myanmar’s specialty coffee movement. Not only do they curate some extremely delicious beans, but they facilitate growth and market access for a lot of small coffee producers in the region, which we think is a pretty rad thing to do. This particular natural-process coffee was grown at 1361 meters above sea level and yields a bright, fruity profile with notes of peach and pear that’s virtually guaranteed to kindle warm feelings within the lucky recipient of it’s warm, liquid embrace. Actually, that “warm” part is negotiable, since it makes a pretty stellar cold brew as well.

Important notes regarding the canned special releases Stencil Crew DIPA, DDH MT5! DIPA, Broken Shadows IPA, &  Myanmar Shan State Coffee Beans:

• While the rest of the sale has the standard 2-month pick-up window (ending 6/11/2019), the pick-up window for Broken Shadows, Stencil Crew, & DDH MT5! is 30 days only. That means that the last day to pick these up is on 5/12/2019. No exceptions.
• The pick-up window for Myanmar Shan State Coffee Beans is 14 days only. that means that the last day to pick these up is on 4/26/2019. No exceptions.

The first day to pick-up bottles and cans will be 4/10 in San Diego / Los Angeles / Encinitas and 4/12 in Portland. We’ll be hosting release parties at all locations on their respective first days for pick-up. We’ll have a bunch of special beers on tap, and there will be no shortage of good vibes, so that’d be a pretty ideal time to grab your beers.
