Final Week Announced for Shamokin Craft Brewery

Lost Mined Brewing in Shamokin PA has announced it will officially close its doors, marking a difficult moment for the local craft beer community in Northumberland County. The announcement, shared with heartfelt honesty, confirms that the brewery’s final operational day will be Sunday, June 28, 2026.

This closure represents the end of an era for one of Shamokin’s most energetic and community driven craft brewery and restaurant destinations. Known for its lively atmosphere, creative craft beer lineup, and unforgettable events, Lost Mined Brewing has been a cornerstone for locals seeking both great beer and a strong sense of connection.

Economic Challenges and Ownership Retirement

The decision to close Lost Mined Brewing in Shamokin PA comes after a combination of significant factors affecting the business. According to the announcement, the current economic climate has created ongoing financial pressure, making it increasingly difficult to sustain operations.

In addition to economic challenges, the brewery is also facing a transition in ownership. One owner has entered partial retirement, while the other has fully retired. These changes, combined with the realities of running a family restaurant and craft brewery, have made it unsustainable for the Lost Mined Brewing team to continue.

Running a craft brewery in Shamokin PA requires balancing production costs, staffing, food service, and event programming. Like many small businesses in Pennsylvania, Lost Mined Brewing has had to navigate rising costs while maintaining quality and customer experience. Ultimately, the financial strain became too great for the business to continue.

Final Week Events and Discounts for the Community

While the news of Lost Mined Brewing closing in Shamokin PA is deeply emotional, the team has chosen to celebrate its final week with the community that supported it for years.

From Wednesday, June 24 through Sunday, June 28, the brewery will operate normal service hours, giving customers a final opportunity to visit, enjoy their favorite craft beers, and say goodbye.

During the final week, guests can expect:

  • All craft beer on tap priced at $3.50 from Wednesday through Sunday
  • Discounted food items across much of the menu
  • A full schedule of regular service leading up to closing day
  • A final Sunday featuring karaoke and open mic from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

These farewell events offer a chance for the Shamokin community to gather one last time at Lost Mined Brewing, sharing memories, laughs, and appreciation for a business that became known as one of the most unique places in town.

Lost Mined Brewing earned its reputation as one of the most talked about craft breweries in Shamokin PA by combining a bold personality with a welcoming environment. The brewery was often described as the most fun and unpredictable spot in town, bringing together craft beer lovers, families, musicians, and local performers.

Its identity was built on more than just beer. It was a place where community members could come together, unwind, and experience something different. From themed nights to live entertainment, Lost Mined Brewing created an atmosphere that stood out in the Shamokin dining and brewery scene.

Community Reaction to Lost Mined Brewing Closing

The announcement that Lost Mined Brewing is closing in Shamokin PA has been met with sadness, appreciation, and support from the local community. Regular customers have shared their memories of nights spent enjoying craft beer, participating in events, and connecting with friends and staff.

For many, Lost Mined Brewing was not just another brewery in Shamokin PA. It was a gathering place where friendships were formed and lasting memories were created. The sense of loss is significant, but so is the gratitude for the experiences the brewery provided.

Whether you are a long time regular or someone who has always meant to stop by, this final week is an opportunity to experience Lost Mined Brewing before it closes permanently on June 28, 2026.
