The Hillsboro Hops will have a Cy Young winner on the coaching staff for the team’s inaugural season in Oregon. The Single-A baseball team announced its 2013 coaching staff Thursday. The team will be led by manager Audo Vicente, who has managed in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization for five years.
The team’s pitching coach is Doug Drabek, a 13-year Major League Baseball veteran and winner of the 1990 NL Cy Young Award while pitching for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
