HiJinx Brewing Pausing Operations In Allentown, PA

Today I have some closure news coming out of HiJinx Brewing in Allentown, Pennsylvania:

Dear HiJinx friends,

We have an important update to share. After 11 years on Harrison Street, we’ve made the tough decision to close the taproom on December 20th, 2025, with full brewery operations ending on December 31st, 2025. Stay tuned for dates and times for our final Harrison Street events.

But we want you to know one thing above all:

This is a pause – not the end of HiJinx.

Like many small breweries, we’ve felt the impact of rising costs and shifts in the craft beer world. Even so, the spirit of HiJinx is very much alive, and we’re already exploring what a future chapter might look like – whether in a new location, a new format, or a fresh partnership.

We can’t thank you enough for all the love you’ve shown us over the years – from pints of Wicked White and CitraSqueeze to trivia nights, music events, seasonal releases, and every laugh shared in between. You’ve made HiJinx what it is.

HiJinx Brewing Company is a craft brewery in Allentown, PA, founded by Curt Keck in 2011 after he started homebrewing in 2007. It is known for its wide variety of beers, from classic to experimental, served at its taprooms and distributed throughout Pennsylvania. The brewery is located in a 4,000-square-foot facility that includes a taproom, often featuring live music and events. 

History and growth
2007: Curt Keck begins brewing homebrew in his garage.
2011: HiJinx Brewing Company officially opens, starting in the 400-square-foot garage with a 1-barrel brewing system.
2014: The brewery moves to a larger, 4,000-square-foot facility in the Bridgeworks Enterprise Center in Allentown, which houses its current 10-barrel brewing system. 

Beer and taproom
Beer variety: HiJinx offers a diverse lineup of beers, including IPAs, stouts, porters, lagers, and experimental brews, such as their popular CitraSqueeze IPA, Wicked White, and Barista’s Choice Coffee Porter.
Atmosphere: The brewery has a fun, friendly vibe with a taproom that features live music and karaoke nights.
Food: Food trucks are often available outside the brewery, and customers are welcome to bring in their own food. 

Location and distribution
Primary location: The main brewery and a taproom are located in Allentown, PA.
New taproom: A second taproom opened in January 2024, located next to the Sports Factory.
Distribution: HiJinx distributes its beer throughout Pennsylvania and additional northeastern states.
