Eagle Rock Brewery Planning New Location @ Historic Monument In CA

Co-owners Ting Su and Jeremy Raub have not only landed a new spot for their upcoming Eagle Rock Brewery Public House, but it turns out that the spot that was once owned by Fatty’s vegan restaurant, is also a protected, historic-cultural monument with art deco flair dating back to 1931, according to the Department of City Planning.

The 4,500 square-foot building at 1627 Colorado Blvd. in Eagle Rock was originally an car mechanic shop called Dahlia Motors Building according to West Coaster and Eagle Rock Patch. The shop later became Stapp’s Auto Shop before transforming into Fatty’s in 2001. Eater LA reported back in July 2012 when it went on the shopping block that the asking price was a hefty $2.4 million; however, it did come with furniture and a beer-and-liquor license.
