Weekend-long series of interactive, flavor-fueled events includes the debut of a limited-edition beer collaboration with Chicago brewery, Hop Butcher For The World

MILTON, Delaware (March 11, 2026) – Dogfish Head’s annual Weekend of Compelling Ales & Spirits (WOCAAS) festival is back and better than ever! Slated for Saturday, April 11, this annual guided tasting experience features samples of 12 off-centered libations paired with complementary bites for a unique, culinary-centric adventure. Not to mention, a behind-the-scenes look at Dogfish Head’s Milton, Del., brewery. Tickets are available now.

“Each year, I’m astounded by the creativity of our brewers, chefs and coworkers, and the beers, cocktails, food pairings and experiences they bring to guests during WOCAAS,” said Sam Calagione, Dogfish Head Brewer & Founder. “There’s so much I can’t wait to try at this year’s event (Spring in Morocco, a witbier with za-atar seasoning paired with a lamb flatbread; or Mango Rodeo, a golden ale with mango puree alongside curry chicken), but I think I’m most excited for our Dogfish x Hop Butcher collab. A beer brewed as the perfect companion for pizza served with Chicago tavern-style pie … doesn’t get much better than that!”

WHAT TO EXPECT: WEEKEND OF COMPELLING ALES & SPIRITS FESTIVAL
Off-centered eats, culinary-inspired beverages, a behind-the-scenes brewery tour and a whole lot more, this year’s WOCAAS festival takes place on Saturday, April 11, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Dogfish Head’s Milton Brewery. This is a 21+ event, and tickets are required.

General Admission: Priced at $75 per person, a General Admission ticket includes 12 beer, spirits and cocktail samples alongside 12 scratch-made food pairings from Dogfish Head’s Milton and Rehoboth restaurants, a commemorative event glass and tasting badge, and a Dogfish Head-branded beverage and food tray.
Designated Driver: Priced at $45 per person, a Designated Driver ticket includes 12 scratch-made food samples, a myriad of soft drinks and water, a commemorative event glass and tasting badge, and a Dogfish Head-branded beverage and food tray.

Event T-Shirt Add-On: Add a WOCAAS T-shirt to the purchase of a General Admission or Designated Driver ticket for just $26.50. T-shirts will be available for add-on while supplies last and can be picked up on the day of the event.

LIMITED-EDITION DOGFISH HEAD X HOP BUTCHER FOR THE WORLD BEER RELEASE
For this year’s Weekend of Compelling Ales & Spirits, Dogfish Head has proudly teamed up with Chicago’s Hop Butcher For The World as its exclusive brewery partner. Both known for their hop-forward, experimental brewing efforts, Dogfish Head and Hop Butcher For The World have created a WOCAAS-exclusive called Crispy Slice (5.5% ABV), a beer brewed as the perfect pairing for any pizza.

Crispy Slice is a west coast pilsner brewed from a backbone of pilsner malt and malted wheat, and judiciously dry hopped with a blend of Krush, Citra and Anchovy hops. The resulting beer blends the big, fruity hop aroma of an IPA with the bright, crushable flavor of a pilsner. In addition to being a featured beer at the WOCAAS festival, Crispy Slice will be available to-go in 4pk/12oz cans from Dogfish Head’s Milton Brewery beginning Friday, April 10, while supplies last. Priced at $16 per 4pk, limited to two 4pks per person.

“We are beyond excited to team up and get a beer brewed with Sam and the Dogfish Head crew,” said Jeremiah Zimmer, Co-Founder of Hop Butcher For The World. “That a collective excitement for Chicago’s true pizza style and hoppy, crushable beer is what we built it around rocketed this to the top of our all-time favorite collaborations. This is truly bucket-list stuff for the entire Hop Butcher crew.”

MAKE IT A WEEKEND: THINGS TO DO OUTSIDE THE MAIN EVENT
As its name implies, Dogfish Head’s Weekend of Compelling Ales & Spirits is much more than just one event. In fact, the brewery and its various coastal Delaware properties will be celebrating all weekend long. Here’s what folks can expect!

Friday, April 10, at the Dogfish INN (105 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958):
The weekend-long party begins at Dogfish Head’s beer-themed, harbor-front hotel, the Dogfish INN. On Friday, from 5-6 p.m., guests are invited to gather around the INN’s Cowboy Cauldron firepit for a lively Fireside Chat with folks from both Dogfish and Hop Butcher. While discussing all things craft beer, attendees will also have the chance to sample the duo’s limited-edition collaboration beer, Crispy Slice.

Saturday, April 11, at Brewings & Eats (320 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth, DE 19971): After Saturday’s main event, beer lovers and music enthusiasts alike are invited to Dogfish Head’s Rehoboth brewpub, Brewings & Eats, to grab dinner and enjoy a free live music performance by 80s cover band, The Thompson Triplets. The music starts at 9 a.m., sharp – no tickets needed, no cover charge!

Sunday, April 12, at Chesapeake & Maine (316 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth, DE 19971): Close out the weekend with Lobster Brunch at Dogfish Head’s Rehoboth Beach seafood and cocktail spot, Chesapeake & Maine. From beer-mosas and hand-crafted cocktails (or mocktails!) to off-centered brunch classics and of course, $15 whole Maine lobsters, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Brunch runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations are highly encouraged – click here to secure a spot!
