A really nice surprise arrived at mybeerbuzz headquarters today as Joe & Jenn from CraftGeer.com were nice enough to send me some samples of their new craft beer goodies.  Joe & Jenn just launched their new website, but more importantly they have launched the world’s first premium lifestyle brand created specifically for Craft Beer Lovers.  CraftGeer.Com currently offers about 20 different products in their lineup of clothing, headwear, and glassware AND items made specifically for craft-beer-loving women.  All too often Mrs. BeerBuzz has commented at beer fests how she was limited to oversized men’s beer shirts…well no more as CraftGeer.com also offers shirts made for women.

All of the items on CraftGeer.com feature the Craft Geer Hop cone skull & cross bones logo and I think it looks great.  I can tell you the shirt Joe & Jenn sent is really comfortable and it looks and fits great.  The snifter quality is first class and it feels great in my hand…of course I can’t wait to fill it later so stay tuned for some Instagram photos as I Keep Calm and Add Hops.

Be sure to check out CraftGeer.com and see what you think.  I think Joe & Jenn are off to a great start and I’ll be following along to see what they add next.  Thanks guys!

From CraftGeer.com:

After about two months of hard work, and selling a ton of CraftGeer Snifter Glasses on a site we weren’t too proud of, the brand new CraftGeer.com is finally live.

CraftGeer is the world’s first premium lifestyle brand, aimed solely at the craft-beer-loving community. CraftGeer.com offers high-quality men’s and women’s "geer," which now includes t-shirts, polos and "headgeer." CraftGeer.com also features the iconic GraftGeer snifter glass, which has gained popularity by many early purchasers have been sharing with their craft-beer-loving friends by using the hashtag #craftgeer on Instagram and Twitter.

CraftGeer.com is the brainchild of the husband and wife team of Joe Simonovich and Jennifer Polino. The two love craft beer and the craft-beer community so much, they gave those leaving their wedding in 2010 the gift of a 750ml bottle of a custom-brewed wit beer, made using their favorite coffee, Peet’s Major Dickason’s Blend.

"CraftGeer is not a site put up to make a quick buck selling a few cheap shirts and subpar glassware," said CraftGeer co-founder, Jennifer Polino. "CraftGeer is a brand built to stay, we’re already looking into 100% custom glassware designs, and some Spring and Summer, casual apparel choices that will really make people take notice."

WHY CRAFTGEER?

In early 2012, while touring Weyerbacher in Easton, Pennsylvania, there was someone wearing a t-shirt with a hops cone on it. This wasn’t the nicest shirt I’d ever seen, or even something that I would consider wearing. Not because of the message, I mean, I’d love a shirt that told the world I love craft beer, and the ingredients that make it great; but because it was a clumsily designed t-shirt that looked like it was probably stiff and uncomfortable to wear. Nevertheless, no fewer than 15 times during a 30 minute tour, was this guy asked "where did you get that shirt?" That night, I went home and did some Googling. I found some really cool, craft-beer-themed designs, and even ordered two tees. Later that week, when they arrived, there was nothing short of disappointment. Two shirts, two cool craft-themed messages, but two extremely uncomfortable tees.

At this point, we decided that there was an opportunity to do something special; an opportunity to work with some great people to create something for a community of people, that we not only love, but are a part of ourselves – the idea for CraftGeer was born. After working with a few friends to get a general idea for a logo, we reached out to our longtime friend, Michelle Poole, owner of the Seattle-based design firm, The Design Poole. After only one call, the CraftGeer logo was born. The original thought of high-end t-shirts quickly morphed in to ideas for hats, polos,

and (of course) glassware.

We then reached out to our friends who had just started Envalo, a Cleveland-based web development firm. We sold them on the idea that we wanted to build a site that was befitting of the product we were offering – premium quality. Needless to say, they delivered.

CraftGeer was born on the idea of working with our friends to create the world’s first premium brand aimed solely at the craft-beer-loving community. Now that our dream of CraftGeer is a reality, we’re looking to the craft beer community, our community to spread the word about CraftGeer. If you like what we’re doing, tell a friend – tell 10 friends if you really like what we’re doing.

We almost forgot, at CraftGeer we know that guys and girls aren’t the same, and don’t wear the same clothes. Our Women’s Geer is made specifically for all of the craft-beer-loving ladies out there who want a shirt that was designed with you in mind.

Cheers!

Jenn & Joe
