Stone Pierce the Veil IPA Returns in New 2026 Can

I previously brought you news of the original Stone Brewing and Pierce the Veil collaboration, and now Stone Brewing has delivered the latest look at the beer with its 2026 packaging. Pierce the Veil IPA continues the collaboration between San Diego-based Stone Brewing and the rock band Pierce the Veil, with the newest can putting the band’s imagery front and center alongside Stone’s unmistakable gargoyle branding.

The beer remains a 6.5% ABV West Coast India Pale Ale, packaged in a 16-ounce can. The official Stone Brewing beer page identifies the beer as a West Coast IPA and lists Centennial, Citra, El Dorado and Krush hops, with orange peel, ripe citrus, tropical fruit, mango, papaya and grapefruit among the beer’s flavor and aroma characteristics. Stone describes the palate as light-bodied and dry with a lingering resinous finish.

The collaboration has a distinctly San Diego connection. Stone Brewing and the band Pierce the Veil share roots in the region, and the beer was created around the band’s 2026 hometown performance. Stone officially released the beer August 29, 2026, initially through Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens, Liberty Station, followed by select San Diego retailers and bars.

The packaging itself is impossible to miss. The black can features a large halftone-style portrait, oversized PIERCE THE VEIL IPA lettering, the Stone name and gargoyle, plus additional artwork that reinforces the band’s music-inspired identity. The can also prominently identifies the beer as a West Coast India Pale Ale.

For IPA fans, the hop combination provides an interesting bridge between classic and contemporary West Coast brewing. Centennial, Citra and El Dorado are joined by Krush, while Stone says the recipe was developed by Senior Manager of Brewing & Innovation Kris Ketcham with Pierce the Veil frontman Vic Fuentes.

With the original collaboration now followed by this striking 2026 16-ounce can, Stone Pierce the Veil IPA gives collectors and fans another reason to watch for this San Diego beer collaboration. The combination of Stone Brewing, Pierce the Veil, West Coast IPA character and highly recognizable packaging makes this a notable addition to Stone’s 2026 lineup.

About Stone Brewing:

Stone Brewing was founded in 1996 by Greg Koch and Steve Wagner in San Marcos, California, and has become one of the breweries closely associated with the development and popularity of the American West Coast IPA. From its earliest beers, Stone built its reputation around bold, flavorful brewing and a willingness to push hop-forward beer styles. The brewery’s own history identifies its original mission as creating flavorful beers that offered an alternative to the industrial beer dominating the American market at the time.

Today, Stone Brewing maintains major brewing operations in Escondido, California, and Richmond, Virginia, along with Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens locations and additional taproom operations in Southern California. The Escondido brewery opened in 2005 and became the company’s primary brewing facility for the Western United States, while the Richmond brewery opened in 2016 to serve the Eastern United States.

Stone’s beer portfolio extends well beyond IPA, but hop-forward beers remain central to the brewery’s identity. Stone specifically notes that it was among the early breweries to pioneer the West Coast style IPA, helping fuel the modern American craft beer movement. Stone IPA and Arrogant Bastard Ale became particularly recognizable beers within the brewery’s portfolio and the broader craft beer landscape.

The brewery has also developed an extensive history of collaboration beers. Stone’s collaboration portfolio includes projects with breweries, musicians and other creative partners, making the Stone Pierce the Veil IPA a continuation of a long-running approach to collaborative craft beer. The Pierce the Veil release combines Stone’s West Coast IPA brewing heritage with the San Diego rock band’s musical identity.

Stone’s 2026 calendar is particularly significant because the brewery is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The anniversary year includes special beers, events and releases, placing the Pierce the Veil collaboration within an important year in Stone Brewing history. The brewery’s official 2026 information lists Stone Pierce the Veil IPA as a 6.5% West Coast IPA, with Centennial, Citra, El Dorado and Krush hops contributing citrus, tropical and resinous characteristics.

From its San Diego origins to its Escondido and Richmond production facilities, Stone Brewing continues to focus on craft beer, hop-forward IPA brewing, brewery collaborations, freshness and distinctive packaging. The new Stone Pierce the Veil IPA 16-ounce can fits naturally into that history while giving the collaboration a highly recognizable visual identity for 2026.
