Stone Brewing is teaming up with one of San Diego’s biggest musical exports for a new limited-edition collaboration beer. Stone Pierce the Veil IPA brings together Stone Brewing and San Diego rock band Pierce the Veil for a West Coast IPA created specifically around the band’s upcoming hometown performance at Petco Park on September 12, 2026.

The collaboration arrives during Stone Brewing’s 30th anniversary year, making the timing particularly fitting. Stone has spent three decades helping define the bold, hop-forward identity of San Diego craft beer, while Pierce the Veil has built an international following with its distinctive sound, passionate fanbase and deep San Diego roots.

At 6.5% ABV, Stone Pierce the Veil IPA is designed to deliver a lighter-bodied and refreshing take on the classic West Coast IPA while maintaining the crisp bitterness and hop-forward character Stone Brewing is known for. Krush hops play a prominent role, bringing orange peel, ripe citrus and tropical fruit character to the beer.

Stone Pierce the Veil IPA Release Details

Stone Pierce the Veil IPA will officially arrive August 29, 2026, initially at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station and then at select bars and retailers throughout San Diego beginning the week of August 31.

The collaboration will be packaged in 16-ounce four-pack cans, giving San Diego beer fans a chance to grab the new IPA ahead of Pierce the Veil’s sold-out Petco Park performance.

Fans attending the September 12 Pierce the Veil concert at Petco Park will also have an opportunity to enjoy the beer inside the venue. The collaboration is scheduled to continue into the fall, with Stone Pierce the Veil IPA also receiving special availability at Aftershock Festival, where Pierce the Veil will headline.

A West Coast IPA Made for San Diego

The beer was created by Stone Brewing Senior Manager of Brewing & Innovation Kris Ketcham and Pierce the Veil frontman Vic Fuentes. According to Stone, the recipe was inspired by Fuentes’ love of classic West Coast IPAs, a style that Stone Brewing and San Diego helped popularize across the American craft beer industry.

Fuentes called the collaboration particularly personal because Stone is his favorite hometown brewery. The partnership combines two San Diego originals at an important moment for both organizations.

For Stone Brewing, the beer adds another collaboration to an already packed 30th anniversary year. For Pierce the Veil, it provides fans with a limited-edition beer connected directly to the band’s massive hometown show.

The result is a 6.5% ABV West Coast IPA that combines citrus and tropical hop character with the clean, bitter finish associated with the classic San Diego IPA tradition.

Here is the official Stone Brewing announcement:

Collaboration Beer Arrives August 29 Ahead of Pierce the Veil’s Performance at San Diego’s Petco Park

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (August 24, 2026) — Stone Brewing has partnered with rock band Pierce the Veil to release Stone Pierce the Veil IPA, a limited-edition West Coast IPA brewed in collaboration between Stone Brewing Senior Manager of Brewing & Innovation Kris Ketcham and Pierce the Veil frontman Vic Fuentes.

Created in honor of the band’s sold-out hometown performance at San Diego’s Petco Park on September 12, Stone Pierce the Veil IPA celebrates one of modern rock’s most influential bands with a beer worthy of the occasion. Built for hop lovers, the beer showcases the bold, unapologetic character that has defined both Pierce the Veil and Stone Brewing as iconic San Diego originals.

Pierce the Veil IPA will be available beginning August 29 at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station and select bars and retailers throughout San Diego in 16 ounce four pack cans, while supplies last. Fans attending Pierce the Veil’s performance at Petco Park will also be able to enjoy the beer inside the venue. The collaboration will continue this fall with availability at Aftershock Festival, where Pierce the Veil will be the headline act.

Made for the Moment

Landing during Stone’s milestone 30th anniversary year in San Diego, Stone Pierce the Veil IPA combines Stone’s trademark hop-forward brewing philosophy with the band’s fearless creative spirit. The result is a beer that celebrates Pierce the Veil’s journey, their fans, and one of the biggest moments in the band’s career.

“The recipe for Stone Pierce the Veil IPA is inspired by Vic’s love of classic West Coast IPAs, a style that Stone Brewing and San Diego helped put on the map,” Ketcham said. At 6.5% ABV, the beer is designed to be light bodied and refreshing, but still packing the signature crisp, bitter finish of an IPA. Prominently featured in the recipe are Krush hops, a buzzworthy newer variety that contributes to the beer’s flavor profile of orange peel, ripe citrus and tropical fruit.

“Beer has always been something I’ve loved, especially a great West Coast IPA,” Fuentes said. “Getting to brew one with Stone, my favorite hometown brewery, made this incredibly personal. Creating a beer together to celebrate this milestone with our fans has been an unforgettable experience, and I can’t wait for everyone to crack one open with us.”

“Pierce the Veil has spent nearly two decades building one of the most passionate fan communities in modern rock by staying authentic to who they are,” said Dustin Hinz, Chief Marketing Officer at Stone Brewing. “That same commitment to authenticity has always defined Stone Brewing. We’re excited for fans to experience an exceptional West Coast IPA while celebrating one of rock’s most iconic hometown shows.”
