| Thirty years after opening its doors in 1996, Stone Brewing is marking the milestone in the way that feels most appropriate for one of America’s most influential hop-forward breweries: with another big, bold Double IPA. The Stone 30th Anniversary Double IPA celebrates three decades of brewing while revisiting the West Coast Double IPA style that became so closely associated with Stone’s identity. The anniversary release also serves as a liquid history of American hops. Stone has assembled a hop bill spanning generations, bringing together legendary varieties such as Centennial and Chinook with newer varieties including Krush and Thora. The result is an anniversary beer designed to connect the brewery’s early influence on American craft beer with the continuing evolution of hop breeding and West Coast IPA brewing. The new Double IPA is part of a much larger 30th-anniversary celebration that has already seen Stone revisit some of its most iconic beers.
