The company’s commitment to raising industry standards and leaving a positive imprint on our employees, consumers, communities, and the environment is reflected in Our Imprint and our 2025 sustainability targets.

Founded in 1873 by Adolph Coors in Golden, Colorado, the Coors Brewery is the world’s largest single-site brewery. Known for its Rocky Mountain water, the company is a subsidiary of Molson Coors, producing iconic brands like Coors Banquet and Coors Light. It has a long history of innovation, including developing the first aluminum can.

Key Details About Coors Brewing:

Location & History: Established in 1873, the brewery still operates in its original Golden, Colorado location.
Production: It is the largest single-site brewery in the world, producing over 17 million barrels annually.
Key Products: Coors Banquet, Coors Light, and various other beverages under the Molson Coors Beverage Company umbrella.

Innovation: In 1959, Coors pioneered the two-piece aluminum can and shifted to sterile filtration instead of pasteurization.

Brewing Process: The brewery uses traditional methods, such as closed horizontal box fermentation at cold temperatures.

Tours: The Coors Brewery Tour is open in Golden, Thursday–Monday.
Adolph Coors, a German immigrant, founded the brewery after finding the ideal water source in Golden, Colorado. Despite enduring Prohibition by making malted milk and near-beer, the company has grown into a global brand, now part of the Molson Coors Beverage Company (NYSE: TAP).
