Tröegs Adding Scratch # 549 Alora IPA for 2026 Craft Brewers Conference / #551

Brewed in collaboration for this year’s Craft Brewers Conference (CBC) in Philadelphia, Scratch #549 features Alora, a new hop variety from the Hopsteiner Breeding Program. This expressive hop boasts tantalizing notes of peach, apricot, sweet melon and yuzu fruit. Pairing with Chinook, one of our favorite varieties, adds a subtle layer of pine to this IPA. Scratch # 551 – April 23 2026:

Lighten up with Scratch #551 Schankbier, a tiny German-style lager with big flavor. Translating to “draft beer,” this long-forgotten style is crisp, clean and approachable. The use of specialty malts in the grain bill adds a touch of sweetness, while a heritage lager yeast – the same strain we use in PA Lager – lends a pleasantly dry but snappy finish. At just 2.8% ABV, you can enjoy two or three!
