Tröegs Adding Scratch # 549 Alora IPA for 2026 Craft Brewers Conference

Brewed in collaboration for this year’s Craft Brewers Conference (CBC) in Philadelphia, Scratch #549 features Alora, a new hop variety from the Hopsteiner Breeding Program. This expressive hop boasts tantalizing notes of peach, apricot, sweet melon and yuzu fruit. Pairing with Chinook, one of our favorite varieties, adds a subtle layer of pine to this IPA. In the past 25 years, Tröegs has grown from two brothers to 250 people, but we’re still very much a family business. Because we stay true to our core values of independence and family ownership, we’ve kept the small-brewery DNA we all hold dear.
