Sixpoint Announces Bean Day 11/18 – 3Beans, 4Beans & 5Beans

We’ve been bringing you a peek at these cans already from Sixpoint, and now some updates:

We’re amped about this one, as these beers have a long history going back to before Hurricane Sandy. Its also awesome to have 3 different type of barrel-aged beers with three different types of bean porters available for people on the same day.
The Bourbon Barrel-Aged 3Beans will actually be available throughout the entire distribution network, but the 4Beans and 5Beans will be exclusively through the app and for pickup down at the brewery on Bean Day – which is November 18th.
Beers will go on sale on November 13th at 12pm EST – actually if you have already downloaded the Sixpoint app, you should notice that the Small Batch tab has already been updated!

After nearly five years, 3BEANS is back! To commemorate the reincarnation, we’re hosting a huge celebration: BEAN DAY 2017. We’ve also created two super limited Small Batch formulations that are only available in cans at the brewery. These beers are raw, uncut, and supplies are very limited. 
We’ve been barrel-aging on a small scale for years… and now we are amped to announce our full-scale release of this family of beers. We built out a 200 barrel fleet of Widow Jane Bourbon Barrels to resurrect 3BEANS. Simultaneously, we housed 4BEANS in select Rye barrels, created a brand new 5BEANS recipe, and then aged that in Port Barrels.

3BEANS will be available for purchase on Bean Day, and then will become available throughout our distribution network. 4BEANS and 5BEANS will go on sale Monday, November 13th at noon EST through the Sixpoint App, and will only be available through app purchase and brewery pickup on BEAN DAY. Mark your calendars!
Beer pickup (and the BEAN DAY celebration!) is Saturday, November 18th from 10am to 4pm EST. 
We’ll also be pouring samples and serving two types of bean chili (get it, Bean chili?). The Sixpoint Mobile App is the first brewery native app that allows for Small Batch purchases with the click of a button. BEER DETAILS:
Beer Name: Bourbon Barrel-Aged 3BEANS
Style: Imperial Porter with Romano Beans, Coffee, and Chocolate 
ABV: ~10%
The original 3BEANS recipe came from ancient texts which described Baltic brewers making beer with beans. For this special barrel-aged version of 3BEANS, the Mad Scientists carefully calibrated the beer with cold brew coffee, rich chocolate, and notes of oak and bourbon to round out the profile.
Beer Name: Rye Barrel-Aged 4BEANS
Style: Imperial Porter with Romano Beans, Coffee, Chocolate, and Vanilla
ABV: ~10%

This first running beer is completely uncut, providing a velvety, rich, and full-bodied experience, with huge notes of chocolate and vanilla. 
Beer Name: Port Barrel-Aged 5BEANS
Style: Imperial Porter with Romano Beans, Poppy Seeds, Vanilla, Chocolate, and Tart Cherries
ABV: ~10%
A new tangent from the original formulation, based on early recipes from fabled Baltic brewers, who used seeds and berries as well as beans in their beers — this 5BEANS has romano, poppy seeds, a touch of vanilla, chocolate, and tart cherries.
