Back in the fall of 2015, we brewed a Belgian-Style Wit for our Icon series. We loved this beer so much that we’ve been looking for any opportunity to bring it back. Free Press Summer Festival give us that opportunity.
Enter: White Noise.
For the fourth consecutive year, we’re celebrating FPSF by brewing White Noise, a hoppy Belgian white ale. The base beer of this year’s version is the aforementioned Icon Gold – Belgian-Style Wit. This classic Witbier has a subtle aroma of orange, citrus and coriander along with a distinct Belgian yeast character.
Rather than simply rehashing the original recipe, we decided to change the hops up a touch and dry-hop it with Centennial. The result is an incredibly refreshing and hop-forward Wit – perfect for drinking on a hot summer day at Eleanor Tinsley Park.
You’ll be able to find White Noise on tap at several locations throughout the festival grounds. It will also be available inside the Fancy Pants tents, if you’re fancy like that.
