Saint Arnold / Brash Not A Collaboration Debuts Today

About seven hours ago, not long after you had gone to sleep, our packaging team showed up at the brewery to begin packaging Not A Collaboration. In just a few hours, you will be able to enjoy this beer should you so desire while the hoppy foam is still settling in the recently filled cans and kegs.

When we undertook to make Not A Collaboration double dry hopped hazy IPA – while not collaborating – we had the same goal we always have with recipe development: create a truly world class beer. We went through 24 test brews and multiple permutations of hops and how to produce the requisite amount of (feel free to insert eye roll) haze. We had many 10:00 AM tasting panels and more than a few lively discussions. As we focused the final recipe, we ended up with a wonderful and surprising variety of hops in the beer: Centennial, Citra and Hallertau Blanc.
Not A Collaboration pours an opaque, gold/orange hue with a white head. The aroma bursts with a mixture of citrus, tropical fruit, and beautiful white grape character from the German hops. The flavor is an upfront citrus bomb with a mix of mango and juicy pineapple notes. The overall soft bitterness still provides a balanced hop flavor, which seems to mimic the pulp of the juice, but it doesn’t linger too long.
Not A Collaboration comes in at 7.1% ABV. It will available this week in four packs of 16 oz cans and on draft at select bars and restaurants.

We have already started shipping this beer to our distributors this morning. While most accounts will receive this beer beginning Tuesday, Silver Eagle will be dropping off a very limited amount of Not A Collaboration today, the same day it was packaged. Watch for postings on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) as to where you can find some now that you are out of bed.
It will also be available on tap in our Beer Hall starting at 11:00 this morning. (While supplies last.)
