I’ve been participating in our local homebrew clubs for decades, and I can tell you that the beers they make are not only unique but really good. I’ve had amazing IPAs brewed in someone’s kitchen and incredible dessert stouts brewed in a simple plastic cooler, and in the end, the home-made beers are as good or better than professionally brewed beers.

I preach this to anyone who will listen, and I’ve spoken about home brewing at events and get-togethers for decades, and the most common responses I always get are, “It’s too hard,” or “It’s too expensive,” or “the beer isn;t good.” Today I’m here to tell you (again) that home brewing can be easy, affordable, and delicious too.

Back in 2023, I was lucky enough to brew a few beers using the new Pinter homebrewing system, and today I’m happy to say that I get the opportunity to try it all over again.

You may be asking yourself What is Pinter? and the answer (like Pinter itself) is simple. Pinter is a new homebrewing system designed to take the cost, technique, and ingredient costs out of the equation.  As Pinter puts it, “The Pinter [Pint-er]: precision-engineered technology for anyone to enjoy 12 pints of exceptional quality Fresh Beer at home. Made by you, designed to share. Take the Pinter, add the brewing ingredients, refrigerate for conditioning, and in a matter of days, enjoy award-winning, sustainable Fresh Beer. A revolutionary beer experience, with you at the heart.”

Pinter is a simple and easy-to-use device that makes home brewing beer accessible to all. The modern design makes Pinter look great, and the Pinter itself is about 10 inches by 15 inches, so it’s easy to move around and easy to fit in your refrigerator. The unit weighs about six pounds without beer on board, and it even comes in multiple colors like red, blue, and gray.Pinter Space Hopper Kit

For this review, I’ll be test-driving the Space Hopper West Coast Edition DDH IPA. This beer kit is just one of the many kits available, like Iron Maiden Trooper and various beers from BrewDog, Sycamore, Yeastie Boys, Appalachian Mountain Brewery, and many other beers and styles. From IPAs to stouts as well as ciders and even seltzer, you can brew them all at home with the Pinter Homebrewing System.

The included instructions are easy to follow, and it is as simple as mixing the ingredients with water and waiting for the fermentation to occur (4-7 days). After that, the beer is chilled for several days, and from there, it’s ready to drink. If that’s not easy enough, Pinter has an App for your smart device that will walk you through the brewing process step-by-step.

If you’re wondering how mine went, the Spave Hopper West Coast Edition came out looking, smelling, and tasting great. It was 7%-ABV, hazy, hop-forward, and it tasted really good. I even shared the mystery beer with my beer-loving friends, and not a single one suspected that I made the beer myself. They all found it to be really drinkable and really spot on for a West coast-style IPA

Check out the graphic below to see just how easy it can be to brew a beer, and I can tell you with first-hand experience that it’s even easier than the graphic makes it look. In my kit, I also had a “hopper” bottle included to add additional hop presence as part of the brewing processPinter Brewing Made Easy

Here’s a quick FAQ from Pinter that will answer most of your questions:

How does it work?
Simply mix the provided ingredients with tap water in your Pinter, leave to brew, and then refrigerate. We have an app that takes you through every step, making the whole journey a breeze.

Do I need to buy anything else?
Everything you need to make your first beer is included. You can then buy more beer and hard cider packs from our online store – choose from over 18 different styles starting from $2.20 per pint.

How much does it make and how long does it take?
It makes 12 pints (1.5gal) of delicious craft beer or hard cider. Depending on the style of beer, the process can take as little as 7 days, and takes only about 10 minutes of your time to prepare.

How long does the beer last?
It lasts for up to 30 days in the refrigerator.

Do I need to plug it in?
No – after brewing at room temperature, simply put your Pinter in the refrigerator.

What if I don’t like it?
We have a comprehensive returns policy.

What other beers can I make using Pinter?
We offer a variety of different packs, including IPA, Lager, Bitter, Stout, Sour, Wheat Beer, Hard Cider and Hard Seltzer styles. We’re always bringing out more styles based on customer feedback.

What’s in the box?
The box contains 1 x Pinter and 1 x Brewing Dock. Pinter Pack: Brewing Ingredients are sold separately

Here’s the description of mySpace Hopper West Coast Edition beer from Pinter: Golden color and a slight haze. Strong, intense hop flavor and aroma but with enough malt in the back to balance things out.Pinter Home Brewing System In Red

Overall, I’m happy to report that once again, Pinter made a great beer with little or no effort, few home-brewing skills required, and it easily brewed enough beer to share. My SPave Hopper West Coast Edition beer came out looking and tasting just like it came from a professional brewery, and I enjoyed it with friends and by myself for over a week. Pinter has created a really stylish home-brewing system that produces professional-quality beverages with a dozen or more brew kits, and even brewing packages and swag, so get out there and try one for yourself.

Pinter looks great, it’s easy to use, the brewing process is reliable and affordable, and the results for me have been really tasty beers.

If that’s not enough fun, Pinter was kind enough to send me a discount code YOU can use for a free Pinter with the purchase of 2 beers on sign up: BEERBUZZFREE
