CORVALLIS, OR – Mazama Brewing Co. announces the release of their summer seasonal Rasplendent in 22oz. bottles. Rasplendent is Mazama Brewing’s award-winning* American style fruit beer featuring Oregon-grown raspberries and Organic Hibiscus. This is the first beer available in Mazama Brewing’s new Brewer’s Select Series, which will highlight premium craft beers featuring seasonal ingredients and beer styles.
“Oregon raspberries are the inspiration for this beer,” said Jeff Tobin, owner & head brewer at Mazama Brewing Co. “We wanted to bring the flavor of raspberries to every sip. Raspberries add a full-bodied flavor to this beer, while the hibiscus adds tartness for balance. It’s like eating a bowl of fresh-picked raspberries. We can’t think of a more perfect beer to enjoy this summer.”
Rasplendent pours a deep ruby red color with a thick collar of pink foam. It is a tart and refreshing beer that drinks similar to a raspberry lemonade. Rasplendent pairs well with rich desserts like homemade vanilla ice cream or a classic cheesecake, and is contrasted by a nice Manchego cheese and some salted pistachios.
Rasplendent is available to distributors from May through August in 220z. bottles and in 1/6 BBL and 1/2 BBL kegs throughout Oregon, Washington, and parts of Idaho and Japan. In Oregon, Mazama Brewing is distributed with Bigfoot Beverages, Running Man PDX, Fort George Distribution, & Hodgen Distributing. In SW Washington, Mazama Brewing is distributed with Kendall’s Pioneer Distributing, and is self-distributed in the Seattle area. Mazama Brewing is distributed by Northwest Specialty Beverage in Idaho, and with Oregon Beer Geeks throughout Japan.
