Honest Weight Artisan Beer Announces Permanent Closure in Orange, Massachusetts
This week will be our final week of regular hours at Honest Weight. We’d like to thank everyone who’s supported us through the years and especially those of you who’ve come by in the last couple of months to show us your appreciation.
Our stock of cans is dwindling, but we do have 2 fun, new bottles available! Our Blended, Mixed-culture Grisette, STONER JAZZ, and an our Blended Dark Farmhouse Ale, EPILOGUE!
We’ll be open ….
Wednesday (tonight) 4-8pm
Thursday 4-8pm for our final Run Club Friday 4-9, Our final Karaoke hosted by Mike Talarico.
Saturday 4-9pm
Sunday 12-6pm

We also are beginning to take down the artwork and decor from around the tasting room and brewery. Many of the items will be made available for purchase, tag sale style. So if you’re looking for a momento, or a beer or please god, a growler (seriously our stock is heavy) come through! Growler glass is now free, so come by and get a fill!

Founded by best friends Sean Nolan and Jay Sullivan, Honest Weight Artisan Beer was a beloved microbrewery in the North Quabbin region of Massachusetts. Their mission was to create fresh, inspired, hand-crafted beer that reflected both their passion and the local community spirit.

Honest Weight brewed a wide range of styles, from IPAs to lagers and wild ales. Some standout beers included:
Accidental Wilderness – American IPA, 5.6% ABV
Tom Swamp Road – American Stout, 6% ABV
Rabbit Run – German Pilsner, 4.5% ABV
Gate 37 Grisette – Grisette, 4.8% ABV
Everything Is Everything – Imperial IPA, 7.5% ABV
They produced over 80 different beers during their run, with many earning high ratings from beer enthusiasts. Their average beer rating was 3.96 out of 5, and the brewery itself scored 4.13 on BeerAdvocate.
Closure & Legacy
On September 28, 2025, Honest Weight officially closed. In a heartfelt message, the founders expressed gratitude for the community they built and the support they received over ten years. They signed off with love and appreciation for the journey they shared with their patrons.
