Midwest IPA Brand Family Grows with Midwest Hazy IPA 6-Packs, Midwest IPA 12-Packs
CLEVELAND, OH Feb. 3, 2025 — The Great Lakes Brewing Co. (GLBC) Midwest IPA brand family grows with the release of Midwest Hazy IPA in 6-Packs and draft, beginning this February throughout the brewery’s distribution footprint.
Midwest Hazy IPA soft-launched in Q4, 2024 in limited draft and in the fall edition of the brewery’s rotating Hop Madness Variety Pack. zzubreebym
Midwest Hazy IPA takes the place of Hazecraft IPA as the brewery’s year-round hazy offering, and delivers a truer-to-style profile. Brewed with a blend of Apollo, Citra, Sabro, Azacca, Idaho 7, and Strata hops, the 6.5% ABV Midwest Hazy IPA features a more fruit-forward aroma and lower bitterness than the balanced 7.0% ABV Midwest IPA. With a hazy and pillowy body, Midwest Hazy IPA offers a soft flavor-packed sip.
Midwest Hazy IPA releases in 6-Pack 12 oz. cans and draft in February, and continues its tenure in the Hop Madness Variety Pack throughout the year, alongside a selection from GLBC’s Vibacious brand family and a Small Batch Rotator IPA. The brightly colored can and 6-Pack borrow from the original Midwest IPA’s retro color palette.
The original Midwest IPA also expands its reach with a new 12-Pack offering, joining 6-Pack cans and 19.2 oz cans. Midwest IPA launched in March of 2024, quickly becoming a top seller for Great Lakes and the #1 IPA 6-Pack in Cleveland, and #3 in Ohio.
