Here’s a new can coming from Golden Road Brewing. This is 329 Days Of Sun Lager, it will be packaged in 12oz (and 16oz below) cans and come in at 4.8% ABV.

If you have visited our Pub in the last few weeks, you may have noticed a new beer on the board. 329 Lager is one of our newest brews here at Golden Road, and we’re happy to announce that it will be joining our core lineup year-round in draught and in cans.
Named after the average number of sunny days in southern California, 329 Lager [pronounced three twenty-nine], is an American-style lager that is easy-drinking yet maintains the full-flavor we have come to expect in a well-crafted brew. When developing the recipe for our first-ever lager, Brewmaster Jesse Houck buckled down with our team to explore different approaches to this classic style. From yeast strains to hop varietals, our goal was to respect the lager and showcase delicate nuances that have since been forgotten in the world of macro brews.
The resulting product brings to table something familiar; a beer synonymous with summer barbecues with your family, hanging with your friends at the beach, and cracking open a cold one during the game — a sessionable 4.8% lager that is sure to please beer drinkers and those searching for a dependable every-day brew.
329 Lager is medium-bodied, light, crisp, and refreshing. A balanced combination of Bravo, Tradition, and Opal hops lend character to the aroma and the beer’s delicate floral finish with notes of honeysuckle and jasmine. The brewery’s first of this sessionable style, 329 Lager is the latest addition to Golden Road’s core brews and arrives just in time to become everyone’s favorite date to summer activities.
A delectable departure from the beloved west coast style IPAs synonymous with Golden Road, the new year-round beer is a respectful nod to the delicate nuances of a lager that have disappeared in the world of macro brews. Committed to craft an L.A.-centric profile, brewmaster Jesse Houck and his team explored different approaches to the traditional style from hop varietals to yeast strains. The winning combination is a thoughtful, palatable marriage of nostalgia and full-flavored, easy-drinking bliss.
“We made 329 Lager because we saw a huge demand for a well-crafted lager in L.A. that is approachable yet still full of flavor,” said Jesse Houck, Golden Road’s brewmaster. “Our goal with this bottom-fermented beer is to continue to help grow the craft beer community and culture by offering a wide variety and a well-roundedportfolio so that everyone can find something to please their own tastes.”

The newest Golden Road release sits between the non-profit partnerships in the brewery’s seasonal Custom IPA Series – on the heels of 2020 IPA and just ahead of the highly anticipated May return of Heal the Bay IPA. 329 Lager joins Golden Road’s year-round core brands – Golden Road Hefeweizen, Wolf Among Weeds IPA, Get Up Offa That Brown and Point the Way IPA. Available in draught and cans, 329 Lager six-packs of 12-oz cans retail for $8.99.
The lager launch
is also the first to feature Golden Road’s new, more environmentally-conscious packaging – 100% recycled, full-color printed chipboard boxes will eventually replace all of the brand’s brown, corrugated cardboard four-pack boxes.
