Cigar City Lets YOU Choose How to Brew the Beer for Hunahpu’s Day

Looks like the guys at Cigar City Brewing will be letting YOU chose 5 different beers to brew for Hunahpu’s Day.  They’ve narrowed it down to about 20 and you get to vote for things like Cucumber Saison, Blueberry Muffin Brown, Twig ‘n; Berries or even Vanilla Maduro.  Sounds like fun to me so be sure to vote.

It’s no secret that we like to experiment with our beers and often add off-the-wall ingredients to create an entirely new beast. We’ve done a lot of them. We’ve had some failures, some huge success, but no matter what happened everyone seemed to get a kick out them.

Today we’re going to leave it up to you folks to decide which treatments you want to see at Hunahpu’s Day! We’ve narrowed down the amount we’ve done to 20 that we like a lot (and that we can actually make). Some only made an appearance once in our tasting, others were bottled and sent to the market.

The top 5 vote getters will be made for Hunahpu’s Day! Vote for your favorite, or the most appealing, or whatever you want!

Blueberry Lager – Hotter Than Helles Lager aged on tons of fresh blueberries

Blueberry Muffin Brown Ale – Maduro Brown Ale aged on fresh blueberries, vanilla beans and cinnamon.

Cookies and Milk – A 50/50 blend of Imperial Milk Porter and Oatmeal Raisin Cookie

Cucumber Saison – Table Saison Farmhouse Ale with cucumber added

French Oak Jose Marti – Jose Marti American Porter aged on french oak

Humidor Series Tocobaga – Tocobaga Red Ale aged on Spanish cedar

Hungarian Oak Peach IPA – Jai Alai IPA aged on Hungarian oak and peaches

Kiwi’s Big Adventure – Florida Cracker White Ale aged on oodles of kiwis

Mocha Cubano Brown Ale – Maduro Brown Ale aged on an even blend of cubano espresso beans and Peruvian cacao nibs

Papaya IPA – Jai Alai IPA aged on fresh papaya fruit

Peach IPA – Jai Alai IPA aged on fresh peach fruit
