Chuckanut Brewery Releases New Single Hop Lager Adeena

From Chuckanut:

Chuckanut Brewery is constantly learning about the ingredients it uses and the Single Hop Lager series is an effort to understand how different hop varietals change a simple lager recipe. Many times a new hop is created and assigned a number. When the hop is grown in larger quantities a name is given but it might be changed several time until one name is finally agreed upon. In the case of Single Hop Lager Adeena this new varietal was developed by our friends at Roy Farms. As the managing partner in the ADHA breeding program, Roy Farms has been unearthing the potential of the Adeena hop developing it into a promising new noble-style star for brewers. By using Adeena in the Single Hop Lager series the true flavors and aromas of this particular hop shine through.

Single Hop Lager uses only one specific hop at a time to showcase its specific attributes. Adeena has herbal, slightly spicy flavor characteristics and unique floral aromas with a hint of lemon/citrus. These characteristics give depth and versatility to Chuckanut’s basic Single hop lager recipe. Single Hop Lager Adeena is great with sandwiches, salads, poultry and fish dishes. Drink it with your homemade fish and chips, it’s a match made in heaven! Available on draft and in bottles at accounts around Puget Sound and the Portland area. Cans of Single Hop Lager Adeena are available at Chuckanut P. Nut (Portland) and South Nut (Skagit Valley). Wherever you find Single Hop Lager Adeena get some as supplies are limited. The next batch of Single Hop Lager will highlight a different hop!

Chuckanut Brewery’s P Nut Beer Hall is located at  920 SE Caruthers St, Portland, OR 97214. Chuckanut Brewery & Tap Room is located in the heart of Skagit County at 11937 Higgins Airport Way, Burlington, WA at the Port of Skagit. Chuckanut has won Large Brewery of the Year at WABA 2017, 2019 and now 2021. Both locations welcome guests of all ages! Chuckanut Brewery Taps Scarlet Ale Around WA and OR

From Chuckanut:

Several years ago Chuckanut discovered the old style Ruby Ale that was being brewed by many craft breweries in the UK. Enjoying the flavors of the style Chuckanut brewers created their own rendition of this classic British style ale. Of course, the Chuckanut Brewery spin uses a unique combination of various malts and hops from around the world and was dubbed Scarlet Ale. This sessionable ale is smooth and flavorful.

Scarlet Ale teases the taste buds with its beautiful scarlet colored glow and light malty aromas. Its medium body is highlighted by and balanced with piney and spicy hops to create a satisfying, any time-of-day tipple! Available only on draft at accounts around the Puget Sound, Portland area and Chuckanut Brewery’s two locations (in Skagit Valley and Portland, OR).You’ll find enough caramel flavors in Scarlet Ale to match any roasted meats or poultry but it’s also a super match with grilled cheese sandwiches. Give it a try! Cheers!

Chuckanut Brewery’s P Nut Beer Hall is located at 920 SE Caruthers St, Portland, OR 97214. The Chuckanut Brewery & Tap Room is located in the heart of Skagit County at 11937 Higgins Airport Way, Burlington, WA at the Port of Skagit. Chuckanut has won Large Brewery of the Year at WABA 2017, 2019 and now 2021 as well as GABF Small Brewpub and Small Brewery 2009 and 2011. Both locations welcome guests of all ages! Chuckanut Brewery Releases Grodziskie

Grodziskie Polish Lager has been brewed by Chuckanut Brewery once again. This light colored, slightly smoky effervescent lager is very unusual and rarely brewed in America. The style uses oak smoked wheat malt giving it a very light color, soft body and a dry finish. Grodziskie is known as the Polish champagne because of the tiny bubbles and lightness of body in this style of beer.

Chosen by beer writer Stan Hieronymus in 2021 as one of the best 10 beers to drink in the US it’s slightly different than other Grodziskies brewed in the US. Chuckanut’s version is a balance between malt and hops and comes in at only 3% ABV. Delicate smokiness tantalizes the taste buds but does not over power them leaving room to quench your thirst. Available on draft at accounts around Puget Sound and Oregon. Cans of Grodziskie are available only at Chuckanut’s P. Nut (Portland) and South Nut (Skagit Valley). Hope you like it, cheers!

Chuckanut Brewery Taps Doppelbock

Doppelbock is the Valentine’s Day special Big Bier that Chuckanut Releases every year. Doppel is double or two in German and Chuckanut’s double bock is made in honor of Valentine’s Day. This batch of Doppelbock being tapped on February 12 for Valentine’s Day weekend at both locations was originally released in February 2021 and held for one year in refrigeration. It’s a rich, dark, heavy lager and a treat for anyone who likes Bock style beers or full flavored lagers.

Chuckanut Doppelbock is extra strong, dark brown in color and originally aged at least 8 weeks at 29°F in fermentation tanks. Having aged for over a year after it was finished makes this full flavored lager deceptively smooth. With lots of chocolate, toffee, dried stone fruit flavors Chuckanut Doppelbock has a 7.4% ABV. Fair warning, watch out–—it’s dangerously easy to drink! This year Doppelbock is only available in very limited quantities on draft at P. Nut in Portland and South Nut in the Skagit Valley. Doppelbock is a great combination with rich foods. It can hold up to braised & roasted meats & any rich sauce! Or enjoy just for the beauty and flavors it imparts, prost!
