Budweiser Replaces “Born On” Date With “Freshest Before”

When it introduces a new design for its cans and bottles later this year, Budweiser drinkers will no longer have a ‘born on date’ to advise them when the beer was brewed.
Beginning in August, Budweiser will use the phrase ‘freshest before’ with a date, Anheuser-Busch told wholesalers this week. In the wholesaler notification, the brewer said ‘"freshest before’ is a clearer way to communicate freshness to consumers."
