BrewDog Names BrewDog USA Team Members

One of the very best things to date about our US project has been the warmth and enthusiasm of the people we have met on our adventures in Ohio. With that in mind, we figured that we should take five and introduce you to the BrewDog people who are over there on the ground, making those friends everywhere they go. To get a better idea about the BrewDog revolution in the Americas – here are Team BrewDog USA!

Jason Davis

Jason is our brand new VP of Sales for BrewDog USA, and has an impressive pedigree – thirteen years working for Sierra Nevada. A native Ohioan, Jason has spent his entire working career selling beer in the state – it’s fair to say he knows every highway, street and backwoods road (his family hail from Appalachia). Such is the thirst of his countrymen and women, he received 300 calls and emails in his first four days with BrewDog! We’re psyched that Jason’s experience will hook us up in all the right places. But why did he want to leave Sierra Nevada?

“I’m inspired to bring the promise of great craft beer and the unbridled attitude of BrewDog to Ohio and all of the US! I would have never considered leaving Sierra Nevada, but the opportunity to join BrewDog and help build the US business from the ground up (literally!) sounded like the greatest adventure ever. I wanted to be with a company that is full of bold, irreverent and uncompromising individuals. BrewDog is that place and I am glad to be here!”

Katie Murphy

Our first fully-fledged American employee was Katie – our Expansion Matriarch. A native Ohioan like Jason, she joined BrewDog in July after aceing a project to help us arrive and find a site. She worked so brilliantly, we had to take her on board! A diehard craft beer fan, she began by doing almost literally everything Stateside, but has now merged into an Operations role and has been amazing at it ever since. So as a homegrown beer lover, how does she think the Midwest has taken to BrewDog?

“Incredibly welcoming and excited, overwhelmingly so! Even six months later, I am inundated with constant requests to meet up, learn more about the project, support us, work with us, and work for us. Everyone in town has heard about us; we are in the paper weekly – BrewDog can help put Columbus on the map for being the craft beer capital of the USA.”

Keith Bennet

Keith needs little introduction, but he was recently described in an Ohioan newspaper as ‘a long-haired, bearded Scot’, which sums him up pretty well, we think. He spearheaded the Columbus project from Ellon – and is now project managing the build of our 100,000 square foot production brewery, working up the air miles as he goes. Keith has been leading all kinds of projects since he started at BrewDog two years ago, but this is probably the biggest! What does he think BrewDog can do for Ohio?

“Ohio has an awesome beer culture and an extremely loyal support for local beers. BrewDog can ramp this up with an injection of our sensational beers and exceptional quality. We will be one of the bigger craft beer producers in the region and with that we can hopefully in turn bring support and advice to the local beer community that has been so supportive to us. In terms of the US, who knows, the sky is the limit!”
