Construction begins this January on a new outdoor patio space slated to open just in time for summer 2026

Get Ready, KC!

Boulevard Brewing Co. is excited to announce a new outdoor space, the Boulevard Yard, opening just in time for warm weather & visitors from around the world! Construction begins at the Tours & Rec Center in January 2026 to extend the Beer Hall patio, creating a second-story backyard-inspired area designed for warm weather sipping, hanging with friends & soaking up the sunny city skyline.

Welcome to the Party

Since 2016, the Tours & Rec Center has been the local face of Boulevard, hosting thousands of visitors for brewery tours, pours in the Beer Hall, parties, pop-ups and more. Now, we’re leveling up (literally) with an expanded second-floor deck, more than tripling our Beer Hall patio footprint for bevy drinking & revelry. The Yard will be ready to host locals and tourists alike with ample lounge areas & table seating, an indoor/outdoor bar serving both the Beer Hall & Yard, stunning skyline views, large screen TVs, accessible entry & plenty of parking, plus opportunities for outdoor programming like live music, community events, sports game viewing & more. As Kansas City prepares to take the international stage this summer, we are thrilled to open our patio doors & look forward to hosting beer drinkers from all over the world.Boulevard Yard Outdoor Space

Designed for KC and Beyond

Concept and design work started over a year ago, and the idea for a dynamic outdoor space goes back even further. “We’ve dreamed of having our own backyard hangout at the brewery for a long time. This addition will offer a great mix of downtown skyline views, patio vibes and Boulevard fun,” said Amber Ayres, Director of Consumer Experience at Boulevard. “With the world’s largest soccer tournament coming to Kansas City this summer, we’re excited to show off our beloved city to both locals and newcomers. We hope the Yard is a welcoming spot for visitors and a new favorite hangout for Kansas Citians.”

Quirkin’ for the Weekend

In addition to a stellar seating area, the Yard is an opportunity to shine a well-deserved spotlight on another segment of our business – Quirk Hard Seltzers. A premier hard seltzer made made with real fruit juice and ingredient-driven flavor combinations, Quirk quickly became as ubiquitous as Boulevard beer since its launch in 2020. The Yard will celebrate this bubbly MVP of summer sipping with space for an expanded bar menu, fun and Quirk-y aesthetics, and maybe a Quirk cocktail or two .

Think Global, Drink Local

Locally, the Yard will be an opportunity for us to showcase the things we love about being Kansas City’s hometown brewery – brewing & serving delicious beers & bevvies, supporting our neighbors & community, sustainable practices, & a welcoming environment with a touch of the unexpected. We are excited to contribute to KC’s growth & development as a regional, national, and international destination while maintaining that Boulevard is for everyone, come meet us for a beer (or bevvie)!

For 36 years, Boulevard beer has been an integral part of Kansas City’s social fabric, whether you’re unwinding at your favorite bar, enjoying a Tank 7 at a restaurant, grabbing a six-pack for a porch hang, or marking the season’s change with an Irish Ale, Bob’s 47 Oktoberfest, or Nutcracker Winter Warmer. If there’s a party, there’s Boulevard. We are thrilled to embark on this next chapter – see you soon!

Thank you to our design partners at Helix & our construction partners at AL Huber. Working with local companies has been part of Boulevard since the beginning, and we are proud to continue this tradition.

Cheers!
