Anheuser-Busch Closing Facilities in Merrimack, NH & Fairfield, CA & Selling Newark, New Jersey Facility
Anheuser-Busch has announced thet they will be closing their Merrimack, New Hampshire, and Fairfield, California facilities, and selling their brewery in Newark, New Jersey. In a statement coming from Anheuser-Busch, the company is citing the need to update and modernize many of its brewing operations across the country. Brewing operations will be moved to other AB facilities across the country. This move will affect just under 500 jobs across the three facilities, and the affected employees will be offered severance packages or full-time positions at other facilities if they are willing to relocate. The brewery in Merrimack has been in operation for 54 years and previously served as a training area for the famous Budweiser Clydesdales. Stay tuned for additional details.
