River Horse Adding Dunkel Fester German-Style Dunkel Lager, Easy Peeler & Brewtus Crossing

Here we have a new dark lager coming in 2025 from River Horse Brewing in Ewing, NJ.

This is Dunkel Fester and it will be a German-style Dunkel lager that will slip in at 5.2%-AbV & 21 IBU. The beer will be packaged in these 16oz cans and stay tuned for full release details.  I’ve also added in Brewtus Crossing tavern ale brewed for the 250th Semiquincentennial Celebration (5.5%-AbV, 16-oz cans) & 2026 Easy Peeler American wheat ale with grapefruit (5.5%-AbV, 27 IBU, 16-oz cans).

Our dunkel, whish means “dark” in German, is a rich and smooth lager with notes of chocolate and toffee, that is balanced by the Noble hops. Dark and complex, much like Uncle Fester from America;s most mysterious and spooky family. One thing’s for sure, we’d trade all our family doubloons for this lager!”

About River Horse Brewing:

River Horse Brewing Company is a prominent craft brewery located in Ewing Township, New Jersey. Established in 1996 by brothers Jim, Jack, and Tim Bryan, it was one of New Jersey’s pioneering microbreweries. In 2007, the brewery was acquired by Chris Walsh and Glenn Bernabeo, who relocated operations to a larger 25,000-square-foot facility in Ewing in 2013 to accommodate growing demand .​
