Masslive.com is reporting that Friendly’s Restaurant in Chicopee, MA has applied for a license to sell wine & beer.  This Friendly’s location is coming back from a Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and selling alcohol is part of the plan.  Should be an interesting experiment that may find it’s way into additional locations if it works.  Full details here.
