Orchard Bay Brewing Coming to Port Orchard, WA in 2013

The Orchard Bay Brewing Co., set to open some time in 2013, will feature a trendy eatery where diners can look down on a commercial brewery with a 450-gallon production capacity. The atmosphere will be much like Silver City’s before its brewery outgrew the Silverdale restaurant and moved to Bremerton.
Ryan promises a "dynamic" atmosphere that taps into Port Orchard’s past. Orchard Bay was an earlier name for what is now called Sinclair Inlet, according to Ryan.
Former Silver City general manager Josh Klein will oversee the restaurant. Michael Kaperick, a Gig Harbor tasting judge, will be Orchard Bay’s brewmaster.
Ryan has been working on his brewery idea for two years. The location is a 2.5-acre commercial property on Sedgwick Road at the south end of the Bethel Corridor. Ryan, the primary investor, has already paid off the property and is now seeking financing for the $3.5 million restaurant-brewery.
