Wisconsin Brewing Co Plans Expansion before It Even Opens

Nelson, the former brewmaster at Capital Brewery in Middleton, has made and released test batches of an amber lager, India pale ale and porter through a collaboration with Great Dane Brewing Co. and Vintage Brewing Co. He hopes to have four to six beers available when distribution begins Nov. 1.

Initially, beer will be made in Verona and shipped in tanker trucks to Sprecher Brewing in Milwaukee for packaging. But Nolen is already talking about an expansion project in 2015 on 3½ acres of land for a 50,000-square-foot addition for more fermentation tanks and a canning and bottling line.
