Upland Brewing Little Wheat Lies Coming To Side Trail Series / Upland Wheat

This morning we bring you a new beer coming to the Side Trail IPA Series from Upland Brewing in Bloomington, IN.  This is Little Wheat Lies and it is a juicy white IPA brewed with coriander, orange zest and a “distinct malt bill.”  This beer will roll in at 6.8%-AbV and you’re looking at the 16oz can.  Stay tuned for release info.  I’ve also added in 2024 Upland Wheat (12oz cans, 4.7%-AbV)

Our next installment in the Side Trail Series is a Juicy White IPA. Coriander is added to the whirlpool in a similar method as is used in Upland Wheat. After fermentation, the beer is recirculated through orange zest for the freshest orange flavor and aroma possible. A large addition of wheat was added to the malt profile and virtually all the hops were reserved for after the boil to minimize bitterness and amplify flavor and aroma. Tapping May 22 across Upland location, 16 oz 4 pk cans will be available in early June.

Wheat and oats were added to the malt profile along with a special mineral treatment to the water to create body and smooth texture. Virtually all the hops were reserved for after the boil to minimize bitterness and amplify flavor and aroma. From the glowing orange appearance to the soft creamy mouthfeel and delicate sweetness, this beer is everything delicious about tropical fruit juice embodied in a dangerously drinkable IPA.
