Happy almost-September, friends! We’re still here, and we’re just a little bit closer to the end of 2020—two things which definitely feel worth celebrating. To that end, we’ve assembled a marquee lineup of epically delicious adult beverages with which to divert your attention and lift your spirits. Whether you’re in search of something fruity, funky, hoppy, or caffeinated, we’ve got you covered—and then some. We’ve even got the return of Mega Fortunate Islands, which couldn’t have been timed better for the ludicrously hot weather that’s been happening.
We know you probably know, but it bears repeating in light of our current situation: If you can afford to be extra generous, we’ve added a tip item to the the page for this sale. 100% of the tips collected will be evenly split among our furloughed staff. Contributions during the last sales have been truly spectacular, and they really mean a whole lot to both us and those who are out of work right now. We can’t wait to get all of these folks back in the building, but this is a massive help in the meantime. Seriously, thank you.

NEW ATLANTIS AGED IN GIN BARRELS W/ BLACKBERRY & BLACKCURRANT
This unimpeachably elegant saison consists of a blend of our funky bases, each component of which spent a considerable period of time (ranging from 3 months to 2 years) in top-shelf gin barrels. Once emerged, it was treated to a nice little re-fermentation on blackberries & blackcurrants, yielding a breathtaking monolith of refreshment that’s tart, complex, and incredibly satisfying.
ABV: 6.4%

FORBIDDEN CHANTS: STRAWBERRY, LIME, COCONUT, & VANILLA
The first of its name, this fruit-frenzy is the inaugural variation in a forthcoming series of tropically influenced Berliner Weisses. We added gobs & gobs of strawberries & limes, whose titillating tartness is masterfully balanced by heaps of decadent coconut & vanilla, yielding an surpassingly sippable, pale pink 6.8% beverage. While your physical person may be landlocked for the time being, your taste buds can board this flight to their very own private island.

MEGA FORTUNATE ISLANDS
If you’ve ever wondered what Fortunate Islands would taste like if it hit the gym and got all yoked out, this beer will satisfy both your curiosity and your soul. A beastly 8% version of our beloved hoppy pale ale, this beer takes its final form as a heavy-hitting West Coast-style DIPA, featuring a profusion of Citra & Amarillo hops that packs a serious tropical punch.

MAX W/ NELSON
This most recent iteration of this single-hop IPA series boasts a boatload of fresh 2020 New Zealand-grown Nelson hops from Freestyle Farms. This delightful dank bounty (one of the first of the year) was added in abundance to a simple malt bill of 2-row and fermented with Chico yeast. Slightly hazy & crowned with a fluffy white head, this most excellent 7.1% West Coast IPA is severely refreshing, and perfectly embodies a less-is-more aesthetic.

POOLSIDE (DIPA w/ Pineapple, Mango, Lime, Coconut, & Vanilla)
This unstoppable tropical refresher is loaded with Citra, Galaxy, & Motueka hops. We then took what would already make for a delightfully juicy DIPA and blew it out of the water, adding hefty doses of Pineapple, Mango, Lime, Coconut, & Vanilla. If you’re like, “wow, that kind sounds like the beer-version of a pina colada”, you’re not wrong; it drinks like donning a Carmen Miranda-esque fruit hat and dancing around in a sequined sarong.

EXTRAORDINARY TIMES: MOSAIC & STRATA IPA
This welcomed addition to our series of extraordinary 2020 beverage avengers is a murk-lord of the highest order; a hazy IPA dry-hopped with a whopping 4lbs per barrel of Mosaic & Strata. Coming in at 7.5%, this delightfully medium-bodied, straw-colored opaque wonder sports a splendidly fruity bouquet (think notes of cherry, pineapple, & peaches) & delivers a righteous dankness that will satiate the most fervent of haze-bros.

MYSTERY SHORE: STAYCATION BLEND COFFEE BEANS
This caffeinated tonic of relaxation is a delicious convergence of three African powerhouses: washed Kenya Muranga’a, washed Ethiopia Guji, & bourbon barrel-aged Tanzania Igamba. Our coffee ninjas have harnessed the forcefully tasty qualities of each variety, resulting in this masterfully balanced three-way split, which shines with notes of piña colada, strawberry candy, & hibiscus iced tea; perfect for sipping on your couch while pretending you’re on a beach. Important notes regarding this month’s sale:

• Although some tasting rooms are beginning to reopen, you still MUST make reservations for your special release beer pick-ups.
• For the safety of all involved, you must wear a mask during pick-up. This is mandatory.
  

• These items have a 30-day pickup window across the board ending on 9/27/20. Yep, everything. 30 days only.
  

• The first day to pick-up will be 8/26 in San Diego / Los Angeles / Anaheim and 8/28 in Oakland / Portland / Encinitas/ Santa Barbara.
• Reservations for the first two weeks of pick-up times will be available on the sale page. Again, be sure to check out separately with your reservation time, and do not add it to the cart with your beer. Thanks!

**SUPER-IMPORTANT NEW PICKUP RESERVATION INFO:

• If you try to put your reservation time in the same cart with your special release beer, the site won’t let you check out. You must check out separately with your reservation time. Just make sure to use the same email for both checkouts so we can look up your order and have your beer ready for you.
  

• We’ve expanded our hours and added WAY more reservation times for this sale, so securing a time to pick up your beers should be far easier this time around.

***SUPER-IMPORTANT INFO ON WEB-STORE ERROR MESSAGES:
During high traffic times, the website will sometimes display the following message when you’re trying to purchase a beer: “Sorry, this product’s stock has all been reserved. Please try again later.” This does not mean that the beer is sold out. It’s a site error that results from high traffic and lots of requests for a particular beer occurring simultaneously. If you wait a while and keep trying, that beer may become available again. A beer is not actually sold out until there is a “sold out” banner displayed over its image in the store. It’s a rare issue now that we’ve improved the checkout system, but we wanted you to know that going in.
