Troegs Releasing Scratch # 175 Red Ale & Rugged Trail Today

We’ve got two beer releases today! The first is Scratch #176, a Red Ale straddling the line between Irish and American, with a bit of German thrown in for good measure. Brewed with three malt varieties, Scratch #176 exhibits a pleasant toasty character amid sweet traces of caramel and toffee. To crank up the bitterness a few notches, we’ve hopped with German Northern Brewer and Saphir hops, adding a minty, citrusy zest to the finish. ABV is 6.4% and IBU is 44. Draft and growler fills only.

Today also marks the return of Rugged Trail, one of our limited brewery-only draft releases. This rendition of a classic English Nut Brown Ale displays a deep bronze hue and rocky head. Toasted Amber and Chocolate malts impart a rich nutty character and creamy texture. ABV is 5.2% and IBU is 50.
