One week! #NuggetNectar
This 6 Jan 2026 Press Release from Tröegs :
Hershey, Pennsylvania – Tröegs Independent Brewing announces the release of its once-a-year favorite, Nugget Nectar. Excessively dry-hopped, this Imperial Amber Ale celebrates the arrival of “fresh-off-the-bine” hops from the brewery’s annual trek to Yakima, WA, for hop selection.
It’s no surprise that Nugget hops take center stage, adding dank notes of pine and grapefruit. Simcoe lends hints of ripe mango and creamsicle, and the finished beer is balanced with enough kilned malt to add body and a touch of sweetness.
Boasting a beautiful orange color, bold hop flavor and 7.5% ABV, Nugget Nectar will provide plenty of warmth on the dark, chilly winter nights ahead.
With the success of last year’s “21 Years of Nugget Nectar” throwback packaging, Tröegs decided to lean into the nostalgia and reimagine the label art for this beer that has been a staple of the brewery for more than two decades.
“For Nugget’s label refresh, I wanted to capture the playfulness of the original label art but add some new artistic flair,” explains Rachel Conville, Tröegs’ graphic designer. “The font is scaled larger and stacked to be eye-catching, and the familiar hop-squeezing hand is joined by a bright burst of orange that really jumps off the shelf.”
To commemorate the release of this iconic beer, Tröegs will host a special Nugget Nectar party on Saturday, January 24, at its Hershey, PA, brewery. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy draft pours of Nugget Nectar and its amped-up counterpart, Double Nugget, as well as Nitro Nugget, an incredibly smooth and creamy version carbonated with nitrogen. Tröegs will also tap a gravity-fed firkin of Nugget Nectar at 4:00 p.m. in the Tasting Room.
The event will also feature fun activities including live screen-printing, swag giveaways, musical entertainment, and an After the Tone phone booth and photo lounge where guests are invited to share memories of their first Nugget Nectar.
Fans can find Nugget Nectar events across the brewery’s entire distribution footprint featuring fresh Nugget Nectar on tap with select celebrations including Double Nugget and Nitro Nugget.
“To this day, Nugget is still one of our most popular and sought-after beers,” says Tröegs co-founding brother and brewmaster John Trogner. “Along with Troegenator and Mad Elf, it’s one of the beers that helped put our brewery on the map.”
Nugget Nectar is available on draft, in 12-oz. cans and bottles, and in 16-oz. cans everywhere Tröegs beer is sold.
