The American Cider Association Brings Certified Cider Guide™ Qualification to the UK Through Partnership with The Drinks Trust and Heineken

Portland, Oregon (October 2025) – The American Cider Association (ACA) is delighted to announce a new international collaboration with The Drinks Trust and Heineken to make the Level 1 Certified Cider Guide™ (CCG) course more accessible to drinks professionals throughout the United Kingdom. The partnership brings ACA’s foundational cider qualification to the DEVELOP program,The Drinks Trust’s training platform offering fully funded educational opportunities to industry professionals.

The Certified Cider Guide™ is the first globally recognized cider qualification designed to give participants a deeper understanding of cider production, styles, and service. Delivered online and at one’s own pace, the course supports bartenders, hospitality workers, producers, and drinks professionals in building confidence, advancing their careers, and strengthening the global cider community.

The program provides participants with a comprehensive digital study guide, on-demand video lessons, and access to the ACA’s online certification exam. Through the DEVELOP bursary, eligible learners in the UK can enroll at no cost, making cider education more inclusive than ever before.

As one of the oldest cider-producing regions in the world, the UK is a natural partner for expanding professional cider education. This initiative reflects a shared commitment to supporting skill development, inclusivity, and sustainability across the drinks trade.
