Sometimes it’s hard to resist a new beer name or artwork, and today is one of those days. Coming to us from Service Brewing in Savannah, Georgia. This is Battle Cat and it will be a Brandy barrel-aged tripel ale that will purrrr in at 11%-AbV. About Service Brewing:
Service Brewing is a veteran-owned craft brewery in Savannah, Georgia, founded by Army veteran Kevin Ryan and his partner Meredith Sutton. The brewery’s mission is to produce craft beer while donating a portion of its revenue to charities that support first responders and military service members. The tasting room’s design is inspired by military artifacts and Ryan’s time in Iraq, with elements like repurposed shipping containers.
Mission:
To make great craft beer, donate to charities supporting service members and first responders, and raise awareness for these organizations.
Ownership:
Veteran-owned and operated, with approximately half of the employees being veterans.
Tasting Room:
Located in Savannah, Georgia, the tasting room has a military-themed design and features a large bar made from recycled wood, an interactive “Before I Die” wall, and a ping pong table.
Products:
Produces both year-round and seasonal craft beers, seltzers, and research & development batches. Some beers, like “Lincoln’s Gift,” are unique and incorporate local ingredients, such as oysters.
Distribution:
Their beers and seltzers are distributed in Georgia and the Carolinas.
Community:
The brewery is a fixture in the local community, hosting events like the Victory Moto Show around Veteran’s Day.
