Seattle Cider Citrus Going Year Round In 16oz Cans 4/14

Seattle Cider Co is excited to announce the first addition to its year-round lineup  – Citrus – hitting shelves just in time for warmer weather, patio lounging and outdoor adventures. Joining Dry and Semi Sweet in 16-ounce cans and on draft, this slightly tart yet refreshing cider is the first “infused” cider to be offered year round by the rapidly expanding cidery. Available in its home market of Seattle beginning April 14, accompanied by a launch party at Capitol Hill’s Rhein Haus, Citrus will be available in all Seattle Cider Company markets beginning May 4.

“This cider is perfect for summer,” said Joel VandenBrink, founder of Seattle Cider Company. “We’ve wanted to add a ‘infused’ cider to our year round lineup for a while now and we know Citrus will be a hit thanks to its refreshing flavor and uniquely dry palate. Plus, the 16-ounce cans are perfect for patios, hiking or whatever outdoor activity you enjoy.”

Offering 6.5 ABV and just 1.3 Brix, Seattle Cider Company’s new year round cider begins with a base of 100 percent fresh pressed Washington apples, fermented with dried orange, lemon, and grapefruit peel for a light and refreshing flavor. Featuring a subtle medium-dry sweetness – falling right between Dry and Semi Sweet – this summer-worthy cider is complemented by a bold citrus flavor and slight bitterness, offering a palate cider lovers and IPA drinkers alike will appreciate.

To celebrate its release, join the team from Seattle Cider Company at Rhein Haus in Capitol Hill for the Citrus launch party on Tuesday, April 14 from 4:30-7:30pm. Attendees will enjoy $5 cans of Citrus, as well as $5 pints of Seattle Cider Company’s Dry cider. Also on tap will be Cold Brew Coffee Brown Ale from sister company Two Beers Brewing Co. Free bocce ball available outside (signup required), as well as giveaways and complimentary tastings of Seattle Cider Company’s spring seasonal, Basil Mint, available between 5-6pm. Complimentary bites from the Rhein Haus kitchen available while supplies last.
