Harpoon & New Balance Collaborate On Boston Marathon Beer “This is New Balance” (Video)

Boston is truly at its best each year when the month of April comes around. The skies start clearing, flowers start blooming, and sneakers start hitting the pavement. The whole city is buzzing with excitement: It’s time for the Boston Marathon! To celebrate, we’ve partnered with our good friends at New Balance to brew a beer and raise a glass to running in Boston!

New Balance’s #ThisIsBoston campaign was the inspiration behind this year’s collaboration beer. Our brewers landed on an easy-drinking and approachable Session Brown IPA with runners in mind – because to us, no run is complete without a celebratory post-run beer!  The beer is called Harpoon This is New Balance and it features a variety of hops including Chinook, Calypso, Eureka, Galaxy, and Equinox. The roasted malts that make this IPA dark in color also give it a slight, but rounded-out, bitterness. Harpoon This is New Balance comes in at 5% ABV and is perfect to enjoy after a run, or if you’re just cheering on those that do!

Harpoon This is New Balance will be available in limited quantities at the Harpoon Beer Hall in Boston starting Friday, April 14th! Can’t make it to the brewery? It will also be on tap at Solas at the Lenox Hotel on Boylston Street and Stephanie’s on Newbury from Friday, April 14^th, until Marathon Monday, April 17th.—-
