Braxton Brewing 1957 Returns To Cans

Batter up! Braxton Brewing Company is excited to once again be canning 1957 English Style Mild just in time for Baseball Season. And this year, there’s even more ways to celebrate the return of our All Star Ale!

1957 will first be on tap Saturday, March 24th at our 3 Year Anniversary Party. You can join that party here.

On Opening Day, it will be back on tap and available in cans in our taproom.

Now, we know there are two questions that we get every year with this beer:

1. Why the name 1957?
   • 1957 was first brewed by Braxton Brewing Company in 2015 to celebrate the Queen City playing host to the All-Star Game. In 1957, the Cincinnati Reds fans stuffed the All-Star Game ballot box voting their own players into all eight, non-pitcher starting positions. Legend has it that bartenders wouldn’t serve you until you filled out a ballot … or two.
2. Why an English Style Mild?!
   • It’s been one of the brewery’s most popular limited releases. With a faint nuttiness and light, sweet caramel notes, it’s reminiscent of America’s favorite baseball snack — Cracker Jacks. If you order it in the taproom or at one of our events in market, we’ll even serve it with a box of the baseball snack!
