Ecliptic Brewing Releases Moon Room Series: Italian-style Pilsner

Portland, Oregon. Earth. (May 10, 2023)- Ecliptic Brewing is excited to announce the second beer in their 2023 Moon Room Series: Italian-style Pilsner. The series celebrates the opening of Ecliptic’s second location – The Moon Room – in Southeast Portland and all things lager beer. John Harris, Ecliptic’s Owner and Brewmaster, says, “Italian pilsners came about when a brewer in Italy decided to try dry-hopping their pilsner, which is a process normally used in making traditional IPAs. This creates all the crispness of a classic pilsner, but it also adds the kiss of the hops to accentuate the aroma and hop flavor of the beer.”

Featuring Pilsner and Carapils malts and Harvest yeast, Ecliptic’s Italian-style Pilsner is just that- light and crisp. The beer is dry-hopped with Tettnang, Saphir and Saaz which provides a nice hop aroma, and it clocks in at 5.2% ABV, making it a very drinkable lager.

Moon Room Series: Italian-style Pilsner will be released in both draft and 16-ounce cans throughout Ecliptic Brewing’s distribution network beginning May 17^th. Visit Ecliptic’s website for up-to-date details on potential release events.

As delicate and crisp as expected in a modern pilsner, Italian-style pilsners are defined by an extra burst of hop aroma & flavor via dry-hopping. Ecliptic’s spin on the style includes Tettnang, Saphir and Saaz hops.

About Ecliptic Brewing

Ecliptic Brewing is a venture from John Harris, an Oregon beer icon whose background is steeped in the state’s rich craft brewing history.
