Idle Hands Announces Oktoberfest 2023 Details

It’s happening, the super rare occurrence when the planets align and the monster that is known as Brock Lobster is unleashed! 

Or it’s Fest Season and Highroller Lobster Co will be here when we have Brocktoberfest on draft.

That is happening this Sunday! Highroller Lobster Co is driving in from Portland bringing their famous lobster rolls with them! Pair one with a Brocktoberfest for the true Brock Lobster experience. Highroller starts serving at 1pm Sunday.

On Saturday, September 9th, we will be hosting our 12th Anniversary / Oktoberfest at our Brewery and Taproom in Malden!

There will be live music, great food, games, and more!

At 4pm we will be hosting a steinhoisting competition! This competition is an official US Steinholding sanctioned event and the winners of the men’s and women’s competitions will win a spot in the State Finals on October 1st.

We will also be hosting a celebrity dunk tank where all proceeds will be donated to Housing Families. For the lineup of the dunk tank, check out the bottom of this email.

Oktoberfest is Saturday 9/9 from 12-10pm.

Tickets are $10 at the door and include a plastic souvenir stein and your first pour of beer. Want in for free?

Join our neighborhood cleanup with Friends of The Malden River and The Run Club of Malden and we will give you free entry into Oktoberfest (including your first round as a thank you!). We will meet at the brewery at 9:30am on Saturday, September 9th, and clean up the neighborhood and the Malden River. After the cleanup, enjoy Oktoberfest at the brewery! Free Oktoberfest entry is limited to the first 50 to register. You can sign up here.

This Sunday we are hosting the biggest Oktoberfest celebration in the history of Melrose! We will be hosting Oktoberfest from 12-5pm at The Beebe Estate in downtown Melrose!

This family-friendly event features live music, lawn games, food and our outdoor biergarten.

La Qchara, Kindred Crepes, and Sim’s BBQ will all be on site selling food.

We will have a selection of draft beers featuring both of our fest lagers and a selection of wine and ciders.

The event is free to attend just pay for food and beer as you go. The first 50 guests to order a fest lager will get a souvenir plastic Oktoberfest stein.

We will have a bunch of tables, but feel free to bring lawn chairs or blankets. The event is dog-friendly too!

Next weekend, we will be back in Wakefield on Saturday, October 7th for Wakefield’s annual Town Day on The Common. We will have our Oktoberfest biergarten set up! There will be live music, a craft fair, and tons of food options from great local restaurants.

Tomorrow, Klara is back! Klara is a Dortmund-style lager with a cracker-malt profile with herbal and citrus hop notes. Finishes with a mineral-like dryness. A true staff favorite.
