North Coast Brewing Chill Rasputin Arrives:

North Coast Brewing Company is taking one of its most recognizable beers in a more approachable direction with North Coast Brewing Chill Rasputin, a new 4.5% ABV stout inspired by the brewery’s iconic Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout. The new beer is designed to retain the dark, roasty character associated with the Rasputin name while delivering a lighter body and lower alcohol level for more casual drinking occasions.

Chill Rasputin will arrive in 16-ounce four-packs beginning in early October, giving stout fans a new way to enjoy the North Coast Brewing portfolio. The beer brings together dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavors with a smooth, sleek body, according to the brewery. It also expands the Rasputin family beyond the intense 9% ABV Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout.

The new release also continues North Coast Brewing’s focus on sustainable packaging. North Coast Brewing Chill Rasputin four-packs will use Eco-Rings, a 100% compostable alternative to traditional plastic can holders. North Coast has previously introduced the packaging with other canned releases, including Red Seal Ale and PranQster.

Here is the complete announcement from North Coast Brewing Company about the new North Coast Brewing Chill Rasputin stout.

I brought you an early peek at this beer back in July 2026, and now I have more details coming from North Coast Brewing in Fort Bragg, California.

FORT BRAGG, Calif., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — North Coast Brewing Company (NCBC) is proud to introduce Chill Rasputin, a refreshingly approachable stout inspired by the iconic Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout. Available in 16-ounce four-packs, Chill Rasputin offers the roasty character of fans loved for decades in a lighter, more sessionable format.

In keeping with the brewery’s sustainability efforts, Chill Rasputin four-packs feature Eco-Rings®, a 100% compostable alternative to traditional plastic can holders.

A new addition to NCBC’s award-winning portfolio, North Coast Brewing Chill Rasputin reflects the brewery’s commitment to innovation while honoring the craftsmanship that has defined North Coast Brewing since 1988. Designed for both longtime Old Rasputin devotees and new craft beer drinkers, the beer offers a fresh take on one of the brewery’s most celebrated brands.

“Old Rasputin has developed an incredibly loyal following over the years,” said Jennifer Owen, CEO. “With Chill Rasputin, we created a beer that honors that legacy while offering a lighter, more approachable option for a wider range of occasions. It’s still unmistakably Rasputin, just a little more relaxed.”

Brewed with the same attention to quality that has made Old Rasputin a craft beer icon, North Coast Brewing Chill Rasputin layers dark chocolate and roasted coffee over a smooth, sleek body. The result is a flavorful stout that delivers rich character without the weight or intensity of a higher-alcohol beer.

At just 4.5% ABV, North Coast Brewing Chill Rasputin is crafted for today’s drinkers who want full flavor in a more easygoing package. Whether enjoyed around a backyard firepit, at a live music event, or after a day hiking, Chill Rasputin brings a more laid-back side of the Rasputin family to enjoy every occasion.

North Coast Brewing Chill Rasputin will be available in early October at select retailers. Check the beer locator on northcoastbrewing.com to find Chill Rasputin or make a trip to the Brew Shop at the Pub at North Coast Brewing Company for Chill and other NCBC beers.
