2026 Bell’s Hopslam Ale Packaging Revealed

Bell’s Brewery is getting ready for another return of one of the most anticipated beers in its lineup, and today we have an early look at the 2026-2027 Bell’s Hopslam Ale cans. Coming from Bell’s Brewery in Comstock, Michigan, the new packaging keeps the familiar Hopslam Ale identity almost entirely intact, giving fans a recognizable look at what is coming for the next Hopslam season.

The beer remains the powerhouse that Hopslam fans know, with the label confirming 10% ABV and identifying Hopslam as a Double IPA. The 2026-2027 Hopslam packaging also continues to use the familiar 12-ounce can format, making this more of a yearly packaging refresh than a major visual redesign.

For longtime Bell’s beer fans, however, there is something important about seeing a new Hopslam can. Hopslam Ale has become one of the brewery’s signature seasonal releases, and the first Hopslam was brewed at Bell’s Comstock brewery in 2004.

The new cans feature the familiar Hopslam name prominently across the center of the package, surrounded by the distinctive hop character artwork and Bell’s branding. The top of the package prominently states “BREWED WITH HONEY,” while the bottom identifies the beer as a DOUBLE IPA.

2026 Bell’s Hopslam Stays at 10% ABV

The biggest piece of information on the new Hopslam packaging is also one of the least surprising: Bell’s Hopslam remains a 10% ABV Double IPA.

That consistency is important for Hopslam fans. While Bell’s has increasingly experimented with variations on the Hopslam name, including Tropical Hopslam and Citrus Hopslam, the original Hopslam continues to occupy its own place in the Bell’s lineup.

Earlier this year, Bell’s introduced Citrus Hopslam, a 10% ABV Double IPA brewed with Citra and Nectaron hops and packaged in 16-ounce cans. The original Hopslam, meanwhile, continues to stand apart with its traditional identity and familiar packaging.

Bell’s has also been expanding the broader Hearted family with beers such as SMaSH Hearted IPA and Cold Hearted IPA, but Hopslam remains one of the brewery’s most recognizable high-impact beers.

Familiar 12-Ounce Hopslam Cans Return

The 2026 Bell’s Hopslam cans remain 12 ounces, or 355 mL, according to the packaging shown here. There is no major package-size change to report at this point.

Visually, the 2026-2027 Hopslam can continues the recognizable green-and-yellow presentation, with the large Hopslam lettering, Bell’s branding, stylized hop artwork and radiating background design remaining instantly recognizable.

For a beer with such a dedicated following, keeping the familiar Hopslam can design makes sense. Fans looking for the next release should be able to spot the Bell’s Hopslam 10% Double IPA quickly when it begins appearing on shelves.

At this point, the specific 2026 Bell’s Hopslam release date and distribution details have not been announced. Based on the packaging preview, however, it is time for Hopslam fans to start watching for additional information from Bell’s.
