TrimTab Brewing Company, a standout in Birmingham craft beer culture, has announced the closing of its beloved Tasting Gallery, marking a significant moment in the local brewery scene. Known for innovative craft beer, community engagement, and creative energy, TrimTab Brewing has long served as a hub for beer lovers, artists, and live events in Birmingham, Alabama.

Founded on the philosophy of Buckminster Fuller, TrimTab Brewing Company embodies the idea that small, intentional efforts can drive meaningful change. This philosophy shaped the brewery’s identity, from its carefully crafted beers like TrimTab IPA and Paradise Now to its welcoming, community-first atmosphere. The Tasting Gallery has represented far more than a typical taproom. The space became a gathering place where craft beer, art, music, and local culture intersected in a vibrant and inclusive setting.

The announcement of the Tasting Gallery closing signals the end of an era for Birmingham craft beer enthusiasts. For thirteen years, visitors enjoyed unique small batch brews, rotating taps, and signature flavors while attending live music performances, trivia nights, and art showcases. The B Side venue, in particular, built a reputation for hosting memorable shows and community-driven events that made TrimTab Brewing a destination brewery.

The final day of operations is set for July 4, giving patrons a limited window to experience the Tasting Gallery one last time. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy a final pint, stock up on favorite canned beers, and participate in the events that defined the TrimTab experience. Whether relaxing on the patio or connecting with fellow beer fans, this farewell period highlights the strong community bonds the brewery has nurtured.

Despite the closure, TrimTab Brewing Company continues to look ahead. Distribution of flagship beers such as TrimTab IPA and Paradise Now will expand into select markets, ensuring that the brewery’s influence within the craft beer industry remains strong. Updates on availability will continue as plans are finalized, allowing fans to stay connected to the brand even after the Tasting Gallery doors close.

TrimTab Brewing’s legacy in Birmingham is defined by innovation, creativity, and connection. From its distinctive logo symbolizing change to its role as a catalyst for local culture, the brewery has left an enduring mark. As the final weeks approach, the message is clear: support local, celebrate craft beer, and embrace the spirit that made TrimTab Brewing a cornerstone of the Birmingham brewing community.

“TrimTab Brewing Co.
Alabama

Thirteen years ago, TrimTab Brewing Co. was inspired by a metaphor from Buckminster Fuller: the belief that small forces create big change, and that we all have the power to Create a World You Love. From the beginning, our purpose has been to be a trimtab, create quality and innovative craft beer while delivering spirit through our gravitational nectar, experiences, and being a community-focused space to support local artists and organizations.

Our Tasting Gallery has been more than just a place to enjoy beer. It has been a living room for the community, a gallery for local artists, a stage for live music, and an inclusive space to bring people together from all walks of life.

The main two elements of our logo, the circle and the triangle, symbolize continuous change. Unfortunately, TrimTab Brewing Company’s next change is the closing of the Tasting Gallery.

We invite you to come raise a glass, and enjoy some beer and community with us between now and July 4, the final day of business for the Tasting Gallery. As you are catching a last show in the B Side, grabbing some of your favorite cans to-go, testing your knowledge at Monday trivia, or simply enjoying a pint on the patio, know that we are grateful to the Birmingham community and beyond. We hope to see you in these final weeks.

Remember to be YOU, be kind to one another, support local, enjoy good beer, and always be a trimtab.

We intend to have TrimTab IPA and Paradise Now available in select markets. Updates will be provided as these plans are finalized. Please direct any questions to [email protected].

Create a World You Love, and Prost!“
