Remember this? Well now the story gets a little more interesting. Apparently the European owner of the Simpsons, News Corp/20th Century Fox. owns European Union trademarks to the fictitious beer on the Simpsons, thus preventing the German Brewer (Duff Beer UG) from registering the trademark. It should be really interesting to see if the trademark for a fictitious beer will prevent someone from brewing the real beer….so stay tuned for details. Further info HERE from Bloomberg)
