Jolly Pumpkin / Maui Brewing Sobrehumano Palena Ole Release Party 6/8

Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales is proud to release their collaboration with Maui Brewing Company: Sobrehumano Palena ‘ole. Sobrehumano Palena ‘ole is a red ale brewed with liliko’i and Michigan cherries. Jolly Pumpkin and Maui Brewing have both brewed this beer; John from Maui Brewing came to Jolly Pumpkin on brew day and Ron from Jolly Pumpkin helped brew Sobrehumano Palena ‘Ole at Maui Brewing. The Jolly Pumpkin version is a open-fermented, barrel aged and bottle conditioned sour ale using naturally occurring wild yeasts. Maui Brewing Company used standard fermentation in their version. The beers have been packaged both by Maui Brewing (in cans) and Jolly Pumpkin(in 750ml bottles). Jolly Pumpkin produced approximately 850 cases and 20 barrels in draft of the Jolly Pumpkin version and Maui Brewing produced approximately 4000 cases and 80 barrels in draft of the Maui version. This is Maui Brewing’s first collaboration released in a can. Jolly Pumpkin’s version of the Sobrehumano Palena ‘Ole will be available in draft and bottles with special glassware at the Jolly Pumpkin Pub and Cafe in Downtown Ann Arbor on Friday June 8th debut at 4:00pm.
