Flood Waters Threaten Left Hand Brewing – Colorado Flood Updates

Update from Left Hand 9/13 10PM EST:

We’re still hanging in there! Good news & bad news. Bad news: This view shows the devastation the to the Boston Ave commercial & residential neighborhood. A river is flowing down Boston Ave, providing no access. Both our loading docks & hopgarden are flooded with gate damage. Good news: Limited water infiltration in buildings including brewery & cooler. We have been extremely lucky so far, but are not out of the weeds yet. Our thoughts are with our Longmont & Boulder County neighbors.#COFlood #GodSavetheBeer#ThispostbroughttoyoubyGeneralHospital

I’m sad to report that the severe rain & flooding in Colorado are threatening Left Hand Brewing (among others).  Above is a photo from Left hand showing the St. Vrain relative to the brewery and this update from 18-hours ago:

UPDATES:  CNN and Oskar Blues are reporting national guard mandatory evacuation of 2000 residents of Lyons, CO. however their Lyons facility is OK and they are working to get everyone out safe and sound.

STAY SAFE, folks!  Hate to break it to ya, folks, but we have decided to close both tap rooms & reschedule our Pumpkin Ale Release Party due to weather & ensuring our fans safety – we will keep you informed on a release party reschedule once we line something up. Stay home & crack a few, but please stay safe & as dry as possible until this weather decides to pass!

Grimm Brothers Brewhouse  – For the time being, the brewery will be open today but they are playing it by ear for now. They’ve got Farmer’s Daughter (Oktoberfestbier) on tap right now too!

Funkwerks  – Due to local road closures, the brewery will be closed today. Hopefully they will be open on Saturday
